next tour leg: South America Tour
I created this topic for you Latin Americans guys to discuss the tour in South America here.
Now we have the official annouced dates that have been confirmed already.
Interesting, that there might be some more, as it says in the announcement:
| Quote: |
| The following dates have been confirmed and we hope to announce more concerts real soon.... |
David at funkin.com has listed all dates - the official ones and the not confirmed ones from other websites.
http://www.funkin.com/live/
So there is really hope that there will be more concerts - hopefully in Mexico, Chile and Peru... let's wait and see.
22 Mar 06 ...... Argentina Buenos Aires, Pepsi Music Stadium
24 Mar 06 ...... Brazil Sao Paulo, Credicard Arena
25 Mar 06 ...... Brazil Rio de Janiero, Claro Hall
27 Mar 06 ...... Venezuela Caracas, Poliedro de Caracas
28 Mar 06 ...... Venezuela Caracas, Poliedro de Caracas (not confirmed)
29 Mar 06 ...... Colombia Bogota, Rodzio de La Caro

Congrats to all the South American members of the Jamily out here that will be going to those shows... I just hope the band keeps creeping north in late April/early May and makes a few stops in the U.S. again. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

Hello there,
Yeah, great to see that in the official site.
I was wondering... there's an empty date between March 22nd (Argentina) and March 24th (Brazil)... I wonder if there's a possible second date here?
Looking back in time, in 1999, they had 2 dates at the Luna Park, and they added a third one...... who knowss???
Nah, that would be asking too much...

Or Chile maybe...
I don't know, but I think there's something strange about this tour . I hope some more concerts in countries like Chile and Peru are confirmed in the next days. _________________

Diego,
I hate to burst your bubble, but the day in between is probably just a "travel day". Im not sure how strict laws are in certain South American countries, but maybe just crossing borders (passing through customs) might take a lot of time. Im bvery happy for you, Flor, Abou, Gonza, etc etc etc who will be going to these shows. Have fun. AND GET THERE EARLY! LIKE REALLY EARLY! LIKE AT LEAST 5-6 HOURS EARLY IF YOU REALLY WANNA BE FRONT AND CENTER. PEACE! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

I must say I'm with Jam on this one, Noe just asked me 'what about the 23rd?' and the obvious answer seems to be that it's, what, a 3 hour or so flight from BA to SP, plus all the other associated twaddle with packing up and setting up for the following gig... and the fact that they won't want to knacker themselves out for one crowd by trying to cram too much in in the couple of days beforehand.
Having said that, one night in BA and two in Caracas does seem slightly odd. But surely a second BA date, given that it's right at the start of the SA tour, would already be confirmed if it was going to happen?
Your best bet would be for the 21st, I'd have thought. But you've got one gig so don't complain if they don't do another!

Yes, it's really curious to see Jmq play two nights in Venezuela and only one in Argentina. And to see them travel to Central America (Costa Rica) and not play (at least not yet) Chile.
This tour is full of surprises!
I'd expect them to include Chile and maybe Mexico, since they're going up to Costa Rica. I just hope other South American countries get included too. You just never know when Jmq will be back! |

sorry if this is in another topic, but...
i'm confused about columbia.
the date confirmed is 29 march via the official site
but then the ticket information i got over the weekend is for 30 march...
http://www.tuboleta.com/show.asp?code=JAMIROQUAI
is one of the dates wrong, because i don't see the 29th on sale, but see the 30th on sale..they aren't doing 2 dates there, right?
i don't read spanish fluently, so perhaps i'm not getting something...but my friend glanced it over and it basically says tickets on the 30th are selling fast..

not like i'm going, but for all those that are and looking for tickets on the 29th, they might be a bit lost. |

Jamiroquai is not going to perform two days here in Venezuela... the only one concert will be in Caracas on Tuesday 28th... that was a big confussion... but the ones confused there were the greatest two official sources about Jamiroquai so interested they are, ah??? well, there's anything we can do... _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

actually, there is something you can do. you can inform the sources of the miscommunication and let other fans know of this, so they won't be confused, although it's easy to figure out since tickets are on sale for the correct dates.
sony and the management gave out the dates, so the communication mishap is between them and the promoters of the concerts.
hold tight, it's getting fixed. atleast you know when it is and have your tickets

not really.
people are confused about russia
people are confused about dubai
people were confused in the usa, when they said tickets were sold out for new york, but they weren't, and then by the time people figured they could still get tickets - then they were really sold out.
confusion is universal. |
