The Static Disco of Goldfrapp....

buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Smile Another new British Artist Import is making a good splash over here in the States, called "Goldfrapp" Smile. I caught their performance of "Ooh Ooh La La" on Leno the other night, and I was really impressed. I thought the Scissor Sisters were the last artist who could encapsulate the snotty, dirty and filthy underbelly of disco-tech dance, but Goldfrapp really bested them in that performance. Been listening to their current album, "Supernature", the naughty techno persued by static bass really lay the groundwork for soft and even velvety voice of Alison Goldfrapp, queen of this discoteque trip-hop. I plan to immerse myself in her previous 3 album back catalogue, but till then, if you want a dose musical gluttony, check out Goldfrapp, at the following link:

Thanks for listening and Peace!

Yes, Goldfrapp rocks the bass. Black Cherry was their underrated album, but I loved it. Shes always pushing her voice to do new things. I got Supernature and love it, but wish that some of the songs didn't have any similarities to some of the other songs. Felt Mountain is a giant step backward as it is completely different. They started out with a more ambient sound. I've been following trip-hop since at least '97 and have watched some of the better bands disappear (Mono for example). I'm glad that Goldfrapp has stuck and is picking up fans (and steam) in the States as we're always in dire need of good music.

A few weeks ago........i would have slated Goldfrapp to be honest

But i have recently got a few of there tracks and do you know what?! There not bad....not bad at all!

Still Alison Goldfrapp (the singer) still annoys me for some reason Evil or Very Mad I think its because she has the same dance for all of her songs LOL
