Hi all,
I've been a Jamiroquai fan since TWM, so it has taken me a little while to get it together to find this place!
I'm Lily, 40, married, two kids (boys, fifteen and eight), Australian, living in Geneva (Switzerland), doing a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics...
I love all sorts of music but mostly stuff that funks (thanks to... I think it was Diego?... posting in another thread about Los Amigos Invisibles - just got some of their stuff and they are fantastic!), travelling (with and without moving ), reading (Latin American magic realism), movies, good TV drama, and coffee. Lots of coffee!
Hasta pronto, à bientôt, talk more soon,
Lily |

Hi, people!
I'm a 13 year old Jamiroquai fan who just joined. This seems to be a chillout place - just like the official forum. I joned there recently, too, under a similar username. And while we're talking about the username, you may consider it a tad odd if you don't know Serbian. 'Knjaz' means 'Prince' or 'Duke' in Serbian.
I actually got the idea from the name of a mineral water produced in SCG. It's called Knjaz Miloš...
Now... For the fun part...
My favorite album is TWM, and my favorite song 'Blow Your mind'. Both parts. My favorite Jamiroquai video is 'Supersonic'. I first heard about Jamiroquai several months ago, so I really shouldn't consider myself a hardcore fan. I haven't been to any of their concerts yet, but I'm planning to... If they ever come to Serbia... And if I ever come to Belgrade, or wherever they are going to perform...
Also, I'm a Jamiroquai addict (The only music I listen to is the one made by them...), an internet freak, a moderator at a certain forum, a Heavy Metal hater (How does it count as music?) et cetera... I see there are many people here who share my interests in music, art and such, so I think I'll feel fine here.
I can't type anymore... I'm just too tired so...
Peace 'n' luff, 'n' all other stuff!

Hello Jamily!!! So glad to make it here ( I couldn't log in, hehe- thanx Mouse) and find SO MANY PEOPLE sharing the same passion...JAMIROQUAI! That's just great My name is Orlando Naranjo 27 years old and I live in Venezuela, I'm studying law.I LOVE MUSIC.!!!! In Grandma's house since I can remember I've listened to all kind of music: joropo, tamunangue (these two are typical venezuelan music), salsa, merengue, mambo samba, rock, bossa, ballads, techno, rap, hip-hop, R& B,soul and SPECIALLY FUNK MUSIC!!! since I was a kid- trained by my "that time 80's girl"-aunt. I could listen to some great music I remember my aunt playing in the stereo Kool & the Gang or Stevie Wonder or Michael Jackson and me going crazy listening.... I was forced- like many boys in venezuela- learning to play cuatro( a typical venezuelan instrument) and that was the real beggining for me about music. Soon,I quit the cuatro (two weeks or something-I'd learn it by myself years later in parties hehe...also studing ) and got a mandolin and stuck with it for almost 10 years! I was taught by one of the Greatest Masters in Venezuela. Then I'd change to bass which I loved since my mandolin days.I play bass since 1999... One day I was at home and I watched Space Cowboy video on MTV and I was captured by this magical group... I couldn't believe that old music was being made by such a cool and fantastic band and it was 1995!!! iIt was really sick!!!! JAMIROQUAI is just unique... I've been a fan of the band since and, finally, after all these years waiting, They'll be here!!!!!! ... now I look at myself and can't help but feeling unforgiven not to be one more of you before! Even that I knew about this site. You guys know so much Jamiroquai... hope to learn much from you!. Once again I'm really glad to know u all people!!! FunkEducation; You're not alone hehehe... Got my ticket, See you guys...

20 days have passed since I'm having fun on jamirotalk and i haven't wrote anything about myself.Shame on me!!!!
So.... I'm Leo aka Layo,24 yo from Croatia.Currently working in an architecture studio (mostly CAD/CAM modelling),and also working as a freelance graphic desiger/painter,altought I studied Industrial Design in Italy.
But that enough about my work
I spend my free time (the little one I have left after work)playing guitar, didgeridoo or composing some music on my computer (I sold my bass so I dont play it anymore). My big passion are CD's and vinyls, so most of the money I earn is spent for that I'm also a big RPG fun sooo sleepless nights are not unknown to me.
I have many other interests, but I think it's enough for now.
To end this introduction I would thank all the people at jamirotalk for the great vibe they spread all around the forum!!! _________________ Too young to die! |

Hello to all Jamirotalkers!
I think I need to itroduce myself. My name is Tomas, I'm 17 years old guy, and I'm probably the first lithuanian Jamiroquai fan here. (I think some of you don't even where this country is). I don't know if the 'fan' is the right word for me. So let me tell you my story..
For more than 5 years I was listening only to Hip-Hop music. It was o.k. for me, I knew all about that style of music and I really enjoyed it.. Until something changed in me. I don't know why, but in Autumn of 2005 I started to listen to Jazz, Acid Jazz music.. And believe me - i started to like it.. when I was browsing the internet I found an article about Acid Jazz-Funk band called Jamiroquai.. I decided to search internet for some songs of that group.. I downloaded (shame on me!!!) album called "Emergency On Planet Earth"..and when I listened to it, I thought wow!! I really like it.. Couple of weeks after that I saw "Live in Verona" concert on my friend's DVD player.. I don't know how to describe that, but I think you know how I'm feeling when I'm listening to Jamiroquai's music..
Why I discovered Jamiroquai so late? The trouble is that in Lithuania they are not very popular.. I heard about them in 2001, when they released "A funk odyssey", but then I was just 12 years old
This winter I deleted all illegal JMQ mp3s and I'm know buying legal Jamiroquai CD's.. I now have just first two albums - EOPE and TROTSC.. But I'm going to collect all CD's, DVD's, Bootlegs, Videos..
So maybe I'm still not a real fan of JMQ, but believe me - I think I could't live without Jamiroquai's music..
I wrote a lot here.. So I hope I will enjoy my visits here, I hope I will find new friends.. Thank you for listening.
P.S. sorry, but my english isn't very good.. _________________
