Shocked Laughing Laughing
And the doctor came into the room and said:
"Mrs. Karen, when do you want your son Jay circumcised?"

Her answer should have been different !

She thought:
"It’s only a piece of skin. It shouldn’t upset me so much!!!"

Heather - I actually didn't know this myself until a couple of weeks ago. But I read somewhere (probably on this forum) in an audience review of one of the American gigs, that a guy in one of the Stateside audiences started chanting 'Chelsea Chelsea, Chelsea Chelsea' or something similar, in between songs (that's one of Chelsea FC's incredibly original chants, not merely a reference to the most expensive patch of real estate in any city in the world), to which Jay apparently replied, 'Sorry mate, I support Man United.'

This isn't something he talks about often, although it's fairly well known he likes his football (having entered a Jamiroquai team into the charity six-a-side tournament a few years back and using 'Use The Force' on the official Euro96 album), but it seems to add up reasonably enough because he was born in Stretford, which is right near Old Trafford, where United play their home matches.

Interestingly, when I saw Joe Zawinul in concert a couple of years ago (at the end of which I SHOOK HIS HAND!!!!!), he also claimed to be a fan of United. So what with Jay Kay, and Zawinul, and me, it seems like everyone with a true love of jazzy-funky music is a Man U fan.

The way I heard it, the daughter of a former US President was at the concert and some of the concert goers recognized her and started to call out her name, no great surprise seeing as her father and uncle were musically inclined towards to jazz too . . . LOL !!!

I agree with you that the most logical team for 'Sir' JK to support would be Manchester United.

Thank you Sam.

Ah you see you've fallen into the fatal trap of trying to consider choice of football team LOGICALLY, Heather. You shouldn't do that. You might support a team for any number of reasons - they're on TV a lot so you can watch them (the reason I started supporting United when I was about 9 or 10), they win a lot, they're your family's team for generations and generations, you were born in the shadow of the stadium (which one assumes to be Jay's reason, because we were SHIT when he was growing up), you have family/friends/future wife who support a team in another country (my reasons for supporting Barca and River Plate).

But it's NEVER 'logical'. You don't choose your team. Your team chooses you.

Anyway...

I heard this recently from someone who was describing to me logic and absence of logic of love.
