>>> UPDATE: www.SolaAkingbola.com !!!
Hey, great!!
I have just checked jamiroquai's percussionist's website and there is a new site update with some very good new stuff...
1. There is a new Tank Tribe track for download. The track is called G-Spot and you can paydownload it here:
http://www.solaakingbola.com/downloads/index.html
(Note: please don't share it but buy it. It's not expensive and in that way you can support the project. So, the guys can produce more of that great tunes!!)
Tank Tribe is: Sola on percussion and vocals, Wallis Buchanan on didgeridoo and Simon Katz on guitar as far as I know!!
2. Photo Gallery: There are more fantastic photos in Sola's gallery!! Just great - head over and have a look:
http://www.solaakingbola.com/gallery.html
3. A new section: Fan Focus
| Quote: |
| (...) a new page on my website called Fan Focus which will feature a fan who for some reason has touched my soul. |
and the first fan is our lovely Deesha!!
| Quote: |
| (...) The part of the song which stays in my mind is the line: “For those of us who tend the sick and heed the people’s cries, let me say to you: Right on.” The young American woman who inspired me to remember this song line and to whom this page is dedicated for the month of March is Deesha Dyer. I met up with Deesha in New York at the Jamiroquai gig; here’s who she is: Right on Deesha! |
You can see the whole fan portrait of Deesha here:

Brilliant idea!! I love it!!
I highly recommend to check those points I listed here!!
Enjoy!!!

Hello,
Excellent new track from Sola and the boys, Tank Tribe continue to get better and better, do you smell that, I think I smell a definite Jamiroquai side project here, why won't JK jump onto it ? In regards to Deesh on Sola's site fan focus.... Congratulations Deesh, with the posting numbers joke aside, you really do deserve this, and I'm proud to see Sola cares so much for you, the fans and your charity work, I'm so honored to have you as a steady friend ! Thanks for listening, continued success to you Deesh & Sola with the Tank Tribe! Peace!
Sincerely,

Interesting song, I love the dark non-english parts - sounds very impresive for me! |

yeah!, is great that he worked with simon katz in this new track, (when i listened to it i totally diged instantanelly the guitar riff and didn't know it was him!)
it's a cool funky track but for me not as good as "got to go", that hiphopy beat is not bad at all but the track itself (maybe for that beat) gots some kind of pop sound that don't goes with me.
great tune anyway
as for the other new stuff in his site..i still didn't checked but congrats deesha for appearing there! _________________

thanks for the kind words everyone. sola is wonderful and i was happy to be a part of this. we've been corresponding for years, and i remember telling him about using jamiroquai music to exercise with people who had AIDS. that was in 2002 or 2003 and he branded me 'the marvin gaye' girl then. so to have our conversations grow to that and other things over the past few years, makes me smile. he's a good soul. it's nice he does this for the fans and many other things, because he doesn't have to.
being this way often isolates me from people..i don't understand how people don't help, they don't understand why i help so much..so it's cool to have the jamily words of love.
i look forward to more fan focuses and am on my way to download 'G-SPOT'..what a name for a track huh boys?
and mr.moon..i would love to know what your original post said, before you edited it a few times...and you have no room to talk about posting numbers. i've been here for 4 years - you about 4 months and our numbers aren't that far apart.... |
