NEXT ALBUM TRACKS?
Hello everyone!

As there are some threads about which the next album's name will be, and how the new singles are going to be like, I decided to ask you:

Besides of the new tracks, which do you think will be the songlist?

Here's mine:
-Revolution
-King for a day
-Alright
-Cosmic girl
-Use the force
-Little L
-Picture of my life
-(Dont) give hate a chance
-Space cowboy
-Canned heat
-Supersonic
-Virtual insanity
-Black capricorn day
-Butterfly
-Corner of the earth
-Deeper Underground

(I'd keep adding songs, but we have to be a bit realistic)

That's hard question...

That list you posted seems a posibilty, but I would add Stillness in time, Half the Man, WYGL, EOPE, BYM, Mr. Moon, Hooked up... or at least some of them.

We've been told it's going to be a Greatest Hits. So by definition, anything that wasn't released as a single can be ruled out. If they're going to include tracks that weren't released as singles, it'd be a 'best of' (as I've said many, MANY times, this is what I'd prefer, but not, apparently, what we're going to actually GET).

So, since Sony and Jay have spent the last ages going on about the upcoming GREATEST HITS release, and assuming we'll get around 15 tracks, my 13 (not counting the 2 new ones, see) would be, in no particular order...

1) Virtual Insanity
2) Canned Heat
3) Too Young To Die
4) Love Foolosophy
5) High Times
6) Stillness In Time
7) Light Years
8 ) Cosmic Girl
9) Seven Days In Sunny June
10) When You Gonna Learn
11) Deeper Underground
12) Alright
13) Space Cowboy

that's a terrible idea... i don't want rob harris, paul turner or matt johnson playing simon, stuart and toby's songs... that would be pathetic to me... but I agree about putting unreleased tracks on the album!

yeah i think you are somewhat right and somewhat wrong ed... it would be missrespectfull for the old band members but.... if they do some new versions of those tracks then that will be something diffrent and the spound quality will be definitly better..... anyway thats not going to happen as the album is released in november and they have onlñy time to record the two new songs that will come with it

They're not going to let the unreleased stuff from the Acid Jazz days get released by Sony NOW, are they? Eddie Piller (CEO of Acid Jazz) has been fighting Sony in the courts for 14 years about who's got the rights to those songs! Simon Bartholomew of the Brand New Heavies, who plays on them (and on EOPE) had them last (and I know one of Simon's best mates, so I sort of know what I'm talking about here), but Eddie quite understandably doesn't want Sony getting their filthy paws on them.

Jay wasn't bothered either way last I heard, but I suspect that by now he'll feel something similar. You might get to hear the unreleased stuff one day, don't fret!

And just for the record, I've not heard it myself, yet. Mainly because Simon's bloody difficult to get hold of and our mutual friend has other things to do than chase him up on my behalf!

I think that the old ones have to continue being what they are, they don't have to re-record again the tracks! They are the reason why most of us are here.

But I would like something "new", like an acoustic session of the best tracks of the jamiro history as someone said once in this forum (sorry, but I don't remember who was he/she).

Like an unplugged dvd with extra interviews with all the actual bandmembers and also with the old bandmembers. I think it's a perfect Idea, with documentaries and all that kind of "looking back in time..." hehe
