Great suggestions. Other Bands to maybe check out:
Donna Summer, Chic, and who can forget about the Bee Gees baby!. If you want the Bee Gee, you buy 1 cd to get all the best ones
The soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever. It's only sold 20 million copies because it's that damn good (that is if you like disco lol) _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

Hello there,
Yes. Thanks for all those links. When I started listening to JMQ (around 1999), I discovered other artists by recommendations. From Stevie Wonder to Earth, Wind & Fire, Donna Summer , Jose Feliciano, then I knew this is the kind of music my dad used to listen! So we both share our passion for this artists (I have MP3 and records and he has the LP's!! ). And now we are both discovering new music that we love, like Incognito, Brand New Heavies, George Benson, and recently when I bought 'Late Night Tales' he said 'whooah... this is what I listened when I was young... you like this music????', so he is kind of surprised and happy at the same time.
So yes, this is the music I love... as I always said... I don't belong here, I belong to the 70's...

I LOVE EARTH WIND AND FIRE!
i used to looved listening to earth wind and fire during my teen years..my parents were shocked at first but got used to it in the end..my cd collection included earth wind and fire, Kool and the Gang, Best of 70's and saturday night fever..etc.
my mom was a singer in the 70's, my dad light up concerts and gigs with his lights... maybe that's what influenced my taste in music.
thanks for those links guys!

their bassman, Louis Johnson
is a legend in the bass world!

where he teaches how to slap!
he was a session bass man
on Paul McCartney's "Give My Regard..." 1984
and on Elton John's "VICTIM OF LOVE" 1979!!!

Hi!
I really didn't know where to put this, so I searched all topics and I think it fits here.
I bought two days ago the vinyl of Leon Ware that contains 'What's Your Name', from the Late Night Tales album. Is really cool, when you listen all this albums you know where Jay's music comes from, is great.
I also found an LP of Kleeer, but it was too expensive, I may buy it some other time. Also, the Chaka Kahn record that has the song on LNT too. And Skyy! I was surprised to see all this names.
Yeah, I go to old vinyl record stores ...and buy stuff!!!
