CELEBRITIES SHOW SUPPORT FOR CHARITY GIG
Hi everyone, I found this article today...
Celebrities show support for charity gig
MEMBERS of local tribute band The Bolton Iron Maiden have been flooded with celebrity gifts in support of a charity auction to be held later this month.
Donations include signed McFly memorabilia, a pennant signed by the Bolton Wanderers team, a signed Jamiroquai album and tickets to see the real Iron Maiden play live later this year. They are also appealing for local shops to donate further prizes.
The gig will take place at the Soundhouse on Ash Street, Bolton, Friday, June 23.
All proceeds from the night will be given to Cancer Research and Macmillan Nurses.
The event will feature a live performance by the band their first in 30 years as a tribute to the band's former guitarist, Ian Boulton-Smith, who died of testicular cancer at the age of 25.
Anyone who has a donation for the auction should ring Paul O'Neill on 07967 667 304.
Tickets, costing £5, are available from the town hall.
