Hiss
What happens when you have way too much time on your hands?
In order to while away the long frozen hours I have been spending in a studio, often just waiting around while someone else does their thing, I started messing around with some music on my laptop. As we were trying to get the quality of sound we were after from Jay's studio I began musing on the sound of Hiss, this led to this little film I have put on here.
I just bought a crappy video camera and wondered round filming things like a starry eyed kid. Anyhow, the result is kind of cool now it's cut with the music. Sorry the quality is so bad, it's supposed to be bad but I couldn't work out how to get the film down to 100meg without it becoming 12meg, which it is now! Can anyone help me with this?
Oh well, I'm off to bed, We are going to Barcelona in the morning!

A question: the song Electric Wild West is from Matt? Or just a song he liked and put it there?

I think he is saying clavinet - that's a sound similar to a cembalo/harpsichord, i think - have a look at this pic, it's a Hohner Clavinet:
I think others can explan it better... (High Times, where are you??!)

To get an idea of the Clavinet or 'Clav' sound, just listen to Stevien Wonder's 'Superstition'. |

Are you still there?
Hello
Just decided to write as I haven't in so long. School's out for Jamiroquai but we are all busy doing various things. I'm working with 3 artists at the moment, with totally different styles.
We are working together on some things too, so still seeing the other guys which is nice.
It's been great to see such good reactions on the new tracks on the greatest hits, who knows what will come next? Not me anyway, right now I'm just enjoying being at home for a change!
I did go up in Jay's helicopter the other day, he's a good pilot and it wasn't as scary as I thought it might be! Anyway, we're all alive and well and looking forward to the next episode
Big love
