MAYBE!!!! a new....
When me and Doesman were in Lokeren, this guy popped up in front of just before the concert started.
Since he was carrying a video camera i asked him where i could see his footage.
After i repeated the question in english he said after a long pauze ...MAYBE VERY MAYBE next year a DVD.
He is part of jamiroquai crew!
Yes, there was more camera's. 1 near stage (bigger) and at least 2 more in the crowd. ( i saw one, how do you say..a conctruction that lets the cam move around above the crowd, but it was after the concert and i could not tell if it was a light or a camera)
The guys were very nicely dressed
Kay made political correct speeches (against bush)
He NEVER does the "scream for an encore" but he did here and played DU
He tried very hard to look in the cam!
We could not see the girls (high stage) so we don't know about them.
Maybe if the footage is OK..we get another dvd????
Let's keep our fingers crossed! _________________ May you always feel the wind on your face and the waves on your toes |

just don't get your hopes up.
The equipment of the man in question wasn't really what you'd call state of the art. He did tape nearly the entire show (had to change battries or tape) from that point where he stood and at times took shots of the audience.
i'll keep my fingers crossed |

Great info
I guess the "maybe" depends on the sales.

Sounds absolutely great, but if it's true... who's going to release it, exactly? Not Sony, surely...?

That's a completely different guy who filmed the 2005 USA concerts.
Happy you guys had a good time. Dig the pictures from everyone, especially the 5 of you and the ones Natalie took of the performance (congrats on job). _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

I guess we won't read anything related to Sony from the next years, I think they moved to Columbia now.
By the way, I remember there was a guy in Buenos Aires recording us, we were with the flag, I don't know anything else about it.
To be honest, I would like to see a Video Collection, but if it is a live DVD, it should be with the new line up!! Not something from the Dynamite tour (EXCEPT the B-Live
DVD's are the new market, so they must release at least one more, every artist is releasing DVD's.

Sony own Columbia, Diego. That was just due to their little label re-shuffle earlier this year - so the Greatest Hits will come out on Columbia (presumably) as part of the Sony record deal. After that, who knows...

Sony own Columbia |
Yeah I knew that, what I meant is that at least in Columbia they seem to give more freedom to the artists. If I'm not mistaken, System Of A Down released their double Mesmerize/Hypnotize by Columbia.
It all depends on what Columbia will let Jay to do, we already know he wants to make his albums with long versions, put the tracks he wants.
The best albums of Jamiroquai are the ones where Sony didn't put their hands on, so maybe Jay is right and he indeed has a good ear to make what it needs to make an album in its entire form.
We'll see

But what Columbia let Jay do doesn't matter, because he's leaving the Sony stable (including Columbia) altogether after the Greatest Hits is released. So artistic freedom (which IS, as you say, less restricted on Columbia) is only going to apply to the two new tracks, 'Runaway' and 'Radio'. After that Jay's (and Jamiroquai's) dealings will be with a different company / label altogether.
