A couple more:
Kelis - 'Milkshake'
Gloria Jones - 'Tainted Love'. It's not really about sex only in the original, but the much better known rubbish cover by '80s band Soft Cell turns it into a song about gay love / sex.

Thank you everyone. I've collected about 90 - 100 songs that I'm going to use.
I have decided to eliminate all the hip-hop and rap songs however because part of the project is having the students see that not only that culture/genre speak about sex or sexual acts (since they mainly listen to hip-hop and rap). I want them to see that other genres/cultures put sex and sexual meanings out there, but because those other ones aren't as popular as hip-hop/rap, no one really gives them such a hard time. It's all about the verbage and delivery of the message, but the meaning is basically still the same no matter what genre. I'm going to ask the students to see if they can find videos online or television for the songs also to incorporate the image factor also.
Thanks again everyone for the songs - no need to churn your brain for more...I'm set!
Have a good weekend, Deesh _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Sounds like a good decision. When I was looking through the suggestions on here it did seem a shame that most of them were hip-hop/rap genre based...
If you get time Deesh I'm intrigued what songs you chose? |
