Favorite LIVE performanced song
So I hope no one has done this before cause ive read up on just about every topic but yea...
Anyway i was just wondering what everyones favorite LIVE performanced song was. Im not going to make a poll for this because theres obviously too many songs to choose from (duh) but yea
So bascially just the song, Im not really asking for the performance, just the song. For me it'll have to be Mr. Moon. Everytime i hear this song done live, its done perfect, to me. Like when they did it back in '94 i thnk it was in London, it was done dope man. The way it was performand was flawless, it was the first and only time that you could actually hear the guitar in it and the way JK was performing was weird...but it fitted i guess (actually the whole concert seemed off, if u have the video of the London then you'll know what i mean) then theres the Phoenix live performance of the Mr. Moon, once again perfect to me...it was actually the first live perf. of a Mr Moon rendition that i heard.
So yea, just the song. I guess i kinda messed up there becaused i asked for the song and not the performance itself. but you have to have examples of the performances, so then i guess i am asking for the performances...confusing ... o well |

Haha, I know exactly one/two song/s!
Travelling Witout Moving performed in Montreux 2003! Wow, especially that hi-pitched guitar (riff, I actually don't know what riff is )
Or Soul Education on same gig (it is available now on frenchiroquai or tim page's site for download!) |

Yea man I was going to say something about the live performance of Soul Education also, that has to be the best live recording of the song. |

Nice question...
Mmmm.... I think When You Gonna Learn from the Funky Paradise bootleg (30 minutes long!!), Planet Home from Luna Park Synkronized, Argentina, Soul Education from Montreux 2003 and definetely BUTTERFLY from the Pori and the Montreux Festivals. |

I've always loved the live versions of Space Cowboy... they usually opened up the middle section and it's the most chill I've ever heard Jamiroquai, I love it.
Particular favorites are from Amsterdam 1994, where he "rejoices in the pleasures of the city of amsterdam." And says, "all the silly little governments say that we can't smoke the herb." ALSO, I love the brassy rendition of Space Cowboy from Chile (1997, I believe). The audience can't even tell what the song is until about a minute and half into it. Then the brass goes nuts almost seven minutes into the song. It's wonderful. |

One of the best live tunes by Jamiroquai, in my eyes, is a version of 'Just Another Story' followed up by a cover of the Roy Ayers song 'Don't Stop'. I dont know where or when it was recorded, but I guess it was around 1995...maybe in Montreux? Well, the tune I have is 13:18 min. long. _________________ The name's Rob, just Rob |

As far as I know....
I've been in the two shows Jamiroquai did in Argentina. And, for that reason, I'll give my opinion about the performance in those shows 'cos I'm allowed (first of all, 'cos I've been there obviously) and 'cos I only saw Jamiroquai in Argentina and not in any other countries..yet (I say this 'cos I can't agree with Twenty Zero One giving his opinion about a show when he wasn't actually there...)
Anyway, from Ferro 1997, I have to say that "Space cowboy" was the best performance. Jay "walked" standing on his hands all over the stage, to one corner to the other...very highed...
And, from Luna Park 1999, I have to say that I have a tie between High Times and Black Capricorn Day
Kisses to all

My Fav live Jamiroquai....
Hello,. :bm_r:
Hmmm....I would go with "Rapper's Delight", better sound in my mind. As for my favorite Live Jamiroquai performance, well, it's actually a whole show. My Fav is the whole "Songs from Manitu: Live Milano, Italy 1993" show, this show saw Jamiroquai in a rare and intimate form (Like their Club Citta 93' gig), playing some songs live they would never play in any other place (Space Clav among the notables!). The whole show just rolled along with a happy pace, one of my absolute fav VCDs to watch after a long, hard night of work and need to relax and sink into my coffin...err bed ). Thanks for listening and everybody's picks for this topic are great ! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

While I do love the "jazzy" blow your mind everyone is talking about, my definete favourite is
Sunny (BBC Live at Covent Garden)
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the complete concert mp3 set? I have found Canned Heat and Deeper Underground.
I love whoever the instrumentalists are. There are tons of solos (that vibes solo! the sax! the guitar!!!!). It might be one of my favourite Jamiroquai recordings.
But like I asked, if anyone knows where I can download the rest of this concert, it would be appreciated a LOT!!! I've looked all over. |
