Never forget the innocent people who died that day. People who were at work just like I am now. They didn't see it coming and had no chance to escape.
Never forget the brave men and women who tried to evacuate wounded and shocked citizens, those who gave their lives to save the lives of others.
Not only US citizens died that day. People from all over the world died that dreadful day. And in a way the world as we saw it died too. Nothing will ever be the same. Cruel and bad things have happened before 9/11 of course. But 9/11 is when the innocence of the free world died. The open societies took a huge blow that is hard if not impossible to recover from, at least in a near future.
After 9/11 are we truly free? Governments control us more than ever, and they even want to impose more restrictions on people in the name of safety and security. People are more afraid than ever. Terror, death, dangers everywhere. Governments and media walk hand in hand telling us to be afraid, very afraid. Are we truly free or are we heading for a future much like in "V for Vendetta" or "1984"? Everyone wants to be safe of course, but at what price?
Never forget those who paid the ultimate price... on 9/11.

A terrifying thought Jonas. The world will never ever be the same. This morning, I was watching the news and around 70% of people voted that the world will not get better, at least, not in our lifetime.
Those that died on 9/11 were innocent citizens...mothers, expectant mothers, fathers, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, children, grandparents, employees and employers, old and young, people with problems, people in love, the list goes on.....
I nearly lost a friend that day. He was having a breakfast meeting with clients in the WTC restaurant when the first plane hit the tower. He ran and ran, escaped with a broken foot - he was a lucky one. I was in London at the time, and one of our main clients' office was on the top floor of the WTC. Those that were in the office that day, all presumably died.
A worldwide tragedy which I don't think anyone will forget in a hurry.
I feel very sad today.

yeah i can only echo what space clav has said.. on that day the world changed.
I remember the first time i saw the video footage of what happened and it literally took my breath away.
This is a very sad day in history |

I remember exactly where I was when I heard about it - someone emailed me to put he TV on and I couldn't believe what I saw.
I got so upset about it as there were so many innocent people that died and to think what the families must of been going through - it's heart wrenching.
Today my thoughts were with the families that were affected, there lives will never be the same

Thanks FRA for this post - just seeing it - politics aside.
It's a somber day around here. We paused at 846 and 903.
There were many fans trapped in New York that entire week, not being able to get home after the Jamiroquai concert - Thank GOD none of them were sightseeing around the towers that day or in the towers (to my knowledge). When I got home, everyone kept calling me to make sure I was home (because of course they all knew I'd be in NYC for the concert). I remember the storm the night before and a guy in line saying 'This is the worst storm I've ever seen in New York and the darkest the sky has been.'
I left the night before on the last train, but returned 2 days later to help out at a hospital registering people that were looking for loved ones. What an experience...I felt very manic, tired and at a lost.
I'll keep it simple and just pay my respect with love 
You just move on, there's no other choice. And not waiting until a tragedy to have such passion about human life.
But that's another sermon for another day.

Never forgive. Never forget.
I was living in St. Louis at the time and it was during my first period of school that day that we were told to turn on our televisions over the intercom. We saw the smoking first tower and watched for a few minutes, then turned it off and carried on with our choir session.
The second period of school, we watched the TV and right at the end as I walking out of class, I turned around to see the first WTC tower fall. I didn't see anything else until I got home. That's when I saw the second tower crumble on the news.
I am fortunate not to have known anyone that was lost in the tragedy, but I'm in Boston now and I know several that did lose loved ones and friends. I will try and comfort them in any small way I can today.

Its so important to never forget...rest in peace always to everyone that lost their lifes that day...my prayers are with all the familes and everyone who lost loved ones...GOD BLESS

I'm chatting rite now with a dear friend of mine : he's a JMQ fan too and he lives in Washington.
This evening Italian TV broadcasted a program called "Special Report": it was about the 9/11 attack and it scared me a lot coz ( i've already heard something like that but i thought it wasn't possible to believe at what really happened) reporters affirm that 2 planes couldn't make a similar disaster.
Engineers made a movie during the towers collapse and u can easily notice many bombs explosions in the middle of them 
My friend s telling me that the Us government did it perhaps to get control of the security situation in america, to enstill fear ,to give them a reason to attack afghanistan, and iraq . Its all speculation
Well, i'm speachless, really, if this is the truth...i dunno what to think
He suggested me to watch the video "loose change" and i did it: it's an 1h 30min long but , hey, watch it, if u didn't

This might be touchy for some of the people who have posted here, but you have to politics and prejudice aside to value the human tragedy and see through the manipulative wranglings that were either the cause or born as a result of this, one of the most shocking days of my life.
No Muslim, ever, from any country or ethnic background condones what happened that day, and in other lesser incidents. I do not defend the people who did this, or those who planned it. I do hope to defend Islam, because all reason denotes that no decent, normal human being could endorse the horrific crimes of terrorism.
I am tired of listening to all the rumours of different consipiracies, but recently in while I was in Canada I saw some bill stickers on newspaper stands that caught my eye, and I photographed them. I am censored beyond belief here in Saudi Arabia and I cannot access any webhosting sites. But I will pass this picture on so as that someone can put it up here for you to see. Again - please note - I am not advocating that 9/11 was domestic conspiracy or not, to me that is just to wild a notion to begin to consider.

9/11 what a day...
but its not good that they made a movie
for me it looks like independence day or something like that
im not a fan of america
and bin laden is/was a guy who was apprenticed by america
so they cant get him hes too intelligent for that
only a disease can bring him down and thats not the end of terrorism
for me terrorism is only a kind of blackmailing
what i wanted to say too
there are still other things we shoulndt for get
the first and esspecially the second world war
because if we "drop the bombs" again theres no longer life on our beautiful planet...
