I know those nights, FRA... stuck at msn, not able to log off... ... but it is worth it!
-------
I feel bad this morning... ... Mika, my 3-years-old is going to the kindergarten since last week. The first week went very good. No problems for him to say goodbye - I was really surprised that it worked without tears... but now... ... today, he announced that he doesn't want to go there anymore. I stayed 30 minutes there, to enable a smooth start without goodbye tears, and after a while he was really motivated, because one of the kindergarten teachers promised him that he could go with her shopping fruits and some things for the other kids. But when I wanted to go, he cried so much.
I know this from my older son, Marlin when he had his start there. My experience is, the longer you stay there, the harder it gets when you go. So, I knew they will take care of him (very lovely and caring people there!!) so I just went. But you know how hard this is, when you hear your "little baby" cry?
Thanks god, about 15 minutes later, the kindergarten teacher called me and told that they could calm him and cheer him up meanwhile. Everything ok.
But still.. I know this is going to be some hard weeks now... for both of us. We both have to learn to let go...

i warned u didn´t i we just had kindergarten begin here..we have about 9 kids here who reacted the same as your mika...the first time all was okay...but now they start realising..this is not a "fun for a day" it is a "everyday must"...
u are acting right...just leaving ...we kindergartenteacher mostly can bring the situation under control..it is just hard if the mothers are still here...
as u said it´s not only difficult the kids it´s is hard for the mothers...
sometimes even harder..i got a child one day who was rather happy to come to kindergarten..but the mother couldn´t say goodbye and wanted a goodbye kiss of the kid again and again until it started crying and wanted to go home
meike and mika i wish u a lot of energy for this beginning time..u will see (u know that also from marlin)...it will be different in some time...
turn him loose (if that is correct english) _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |

Oh the memories... i remember my mum leaving me at nursery - she said she'd stay, so i turned round to hang up my coat and when i looked back she had already disappeared in a puff of smoke ./. I was horrified, for all of 2 seconds anyway, and then got on with the fun and jollyness of dipping digestive biscuits into orange juice (it was nice at the time, honestly!)
I have discovered 3 things today:
1. I don't like shredding paper
2. My dad apparently didn't want me when i was born (ungrateful wee ingrate! thank funk i'm not one to bear a grudge )
3. I really don't like shredding paper !! |

meike - how's mika doing now that he's a few days into it? hopefully well...

anna - hope you are feeling better and getting ready for italy (if you haven't already left).

on another note, the government approved for the morning after pill to be available over the counter here (which means without a note of permission from the doctor). i can't figure out if that's a good thing or not. it was so easy to get before through different clinics and such for cheap. i'm afraid some of my girls may start using the morning after pill as birth control (as they do abortions - ugh) and not for what it was made for - emergencies...
aye, aye, aye!! i love my work, but it can be indeed conflicting at times..it's all good _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

u know deesh, i know some girls who use morning after pills (here called 'day after' pills) ALWAYS, they adopted them as their regular birth control method. i've studied a lot about that during high school (since i had a biological orientation), and i always try to tell them that they're not meant to be used every time u have sex, but they just dont seem to care. besides, they're not 100% good for your body. it's ok to take them from time to time, but not always (well i suppose u must know much more than me in this subject heheh )
and i'm just impressed about their reactions.. it's like, they don't wanna take care of their own bodies |

thanks marina for responding to this...i agree with you very much. it doesn't take someone of expertise at all to realize that constant use of the morning/day after pill is going to seriously damage the reproductive system of the body and perhaps affect the female having children later down the line.
you go girl with the education and common sense..get the word out to others. it's just crazy. i keep a stack readily available if the girls need them, but i monitor the dosage, and actually give under the recommended and safe amount per year.
i think these things are great for women, but truthfully it makes them less responsible for the act when it actually happens, which means it opens up a whole path to disease, and *sigh* that is where i step in.
i'm done my rant, but yes..thanks for the dialect on it! _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |
