Thanks for sharing the video. Shocking indeed. Not very "professional" behaviour of course, but still... he's not a machine... he's human and violence is a human reaction sometimes. I think he could've handled it better. But I do not blame him one bit. Sure there is "truth in wine" and all. But if you have to cope with the shit paps and media are causing 24/7 for far too long I think you'll lash out in a sober state as well. If you're a ticking bomb, sooner or later the bomb will explode no matter if alcohol is poured on the burning fuse or not. Just look at Sean Penn.
When someone becomes a celebrity their life becomes public. Suddenly they are public domain and it appears like media and others think they can do whatever they want with them.
They take photos of them living life for God's sake... Clubbing, grabbing a few pints at the local pub, shopping with your mum, leaving kids at kindergarten... buying a newspaper, chewing gum and a pack of cigarettes... relaxing on the beach, kissing your darling, driving your car, jogging in a cheap baggy outfit etc. They even go through their trash to reveal that someone has a thing for Oreos and Coke and make a big fuss about it in the tabloids. God forbid you gain some weight eating that stuff, because if you do the piranhas will make a killing by mocking you in the media!
Why? Because we the people deserve to know? Bullshit! I'll admit gossip can be funny and entertaining once in a while, but we can most certainly live without it. Media on the other hand can't... paps are making a good living off this shit. "Reporters" who couldn't make it in journalist school are almost getting celebrity status for exploiting the famous. They are using people. Making light of tragedies, make stuff up if you refuse to give interviews, take photos of you in private situations etc. Nothing is holy... not even family members. Fuck 'em I say.
In the beginning of the clip Jay said "if you ever fuck with me or my mother ever again" or something like that. Perhaps there's more to the story than we know? I can tell you for sure that I don't need no vodka or tequila to go medieval on some paps ass if I was famous and they bothered my mum... or my wife and kids.
Anyway, I wish Jay would've been able to take the high road and just leave... ignore those bastards and not give them the satisfaction they were craving for. But I'm not so sure I'd be able to do that myself if I was in his Adidas so I'm not blaming him. I feel sorry for him, it looks like he could use some help. The media have themselves to blaim, they created the monster in the first place. Paps are nothing but scavengers with no regard for human life. Just look at what happened with Princess Diana and Dodi al-Fayed. Someone got the photo of their lifetime there though... but at the price of 3 human lives. Get an education and a real job you miserable pap scum!
I think it's time for Jay to start playing EOPE live again... and change the words the kids need education with the paps need education.

Well I've calmed down now after seing the video - it really shocked me when I first saw it 
I was thinking about some comments that people have said about him getting a girlfriend and really now I think about it - he really should get himself a girlfriend!!!!
Just imagine all the hate/anger he has inside him that he behaves that way, if only he had someone to love and share his life with, then he'd be able to turn that into love/devotion/companionship.
Anyway I don't want to sound sucky, but if he had a good woman by his side then imagine how much good would come out of him - I just hope & pray that some day soon he finds someone to share his life with so he doesn't have to feel so alone

Yeah I'm not going to make any judgements about Jay unless I have the entire story,
I mean he did what he had to do, in the situation, and he paid the consequences.....(cautioned) so whatever, and I don't wish alcoholism on anyone, but he's of age and he can make his own decisions, and I think that
he was sober enough to know what he was doing.
I think space clav said it pretty well too.
After so many times with these stupid leeches (papa's) you would get tired of it and say F*^% it, and get all crazy medival on them .......

Well seeing the video.. I must say I am not so much shocked like from all the pics seen before. The pics show frozen moments, and surely the press chose well to show us the most agressive poses and bad looking moments.
But I think the video shows us more of the siuation and although Jay was surely a very drunken idiot there...the video does not show the whole scene...it starts only with Jays agressions, but as some of you said before...there might have been some provokements from the paparazzi before 
And for me I got also the impression of Jay acting like a tiger in a cage... surrounded by shouting people...flashlights....police...everyone tries to grab for him....so some reactions are just understandable for me....he just could not stop...  I think some people even shouted something like "that his music is shit" Not quite sure...but I think that might not have amused him..
Anyway...nobody of us like paparazzis and gives a damn if they got a bloody nose in their job...but we should not forget...that they won already in the end...look how long we talk about things like that now, how many pics we looked at, again and again... and what would the whole forum be with only officially sony and fan pics? Somehow our interest in all the pics underlines their jobs
