I like it. Of course this is not my favourite song, I'll not listen to it again and again Smile . But I like especially the intro. You don't think the song will begin like that when you listen only the clip on official website.

I voted "Like it Smile".

I really, really want to love this track, but, it's a grower me thinks. Comparing this to "Radio" will be interesting!

Hehe! Loving the chef analogy Space Clav!!! Laughing

Even though previously I've said I wanted to wait until video/single release of "Runaway" I did actually give in to temptation about half hour ago and listened to the 1:16 clip on the official site.

First impressions were it's OK. Not too great, but not bad. Sounding a lot little DGHAC and Canned Heat. Which is no bad thing. But, a criticism, that I'm sick of hearing, regarding Jamiroquai, is that they're tunes are too samey. "Runaway" will give the nitwits who say that kind of thing ammo yet again. Best to ignore them.

Back to the track. On approximately my 14th listen, I am starting to really, REALLY like it!

The verses are good. Very funky and similar to DGHAC verses. However, it's the chorus which this track is all about (well, from the 1:16 I've heard anyway.) "I just. Want to. Runaway." HOW catchy!!! As for single potential, "Runaway" has it in spades. I can easily see this going top 10, maybe even top 5, it really is an excellent track the more you hear it.

Great work Jay & The Boys!!! Very Happy

it's an acceptable song...
not a totally artistic jamiroquai work!

don't start with that.
you won't be attacked for saying you don't like the song or that is bad, but simply is not the "most false protooled, terrible, nonfunky, disappointing jamiroquai single"
not even for you.

Well, Space Clav pretty much said everything that i thought about the song and phrased it a lot better Wink
I really, really like... but the overall effect of all the overproduction is somewhat disconcerting. It just doesn't sound "real" enough. Would love to hear it live though Very Happy Looking forward to the video too - should be interesting

It definitely has a better chorus line than any of the Dynamite tracks...

so you say that using drum machines and using protools makes it an amazing song? wow! that's pop man, not funk! in pop there's where they use machines and all that stuff... not in funk... i dunno...
