Your 2006 Summer (Winter) Theme Song
...the title is kind of self explanatory.

Now that summer is over, what is the one song that sums up your summer (or winter for Mike and Samantha)?

Why choose this song and how does it wrap up your 3 month season?

I have to think...

nice topic idea, deesh! Very Happy

Well, my first spontanous thought is this: Travelling Without Moving

I was travelling without moving a lot in the virtual world this summer, deepening virtual friendships, chatting a lot with the jamily, planning the real travels in this summer: Rotterdam and London for Jamiroquai gigs and Jamily meetings.

A lot of travelling - with and without moving.

Not to forget this amazing version of TWM in Rotterdam, NorthSeaJazz Festival with Paul on bass!! Will never forget it!! good

Plus: I got 4 speeding tickets in the last months.... Rolling Eyes ... Speedfreak, yeah, I know... Laughing

'If I Like It I Do It', purely for THAT moment at Lovebox when Jay said those magic words and the front row exploded!

I thought about it..and I have 2.

"If I Like It, I Just Do It" - I think that is self explanatory really...Everything I wanted to do this summer I did, and I've never really taken that attitude. Usually I let things hold me back, but this summer I went to so many concerts, overseas twice. I just did whatever I wanted to do, including Lovebox. I had no money and so much work to do and I just focused and worked a lot to get more money and went. I can't believe we actually were there for all those hours, starting at 7am. Claudia, Chena and I were so screwed up with time and so tired and some how managed to be so functional that whole weekend. Plus, this is Zed's favorite song, so standing next to him at the concert when they did this was wonderful. This also extends to my volunteer work, I am doing so much more now without caring about being labeled a feminist or Black feminist or crazy!

"Wheres Your Love" - DJ Spinna and N'Dea Davenport - The words have nothing to do with why I chose this. I just played this song all damn summer - LITERALLY..almost everyday. It's such a dope song, and danceable and the horns and arrangement are phenomenal. I love it.

Those are my choices!!

LOL... I remember this one... huge hit over here. One hit wonder though.

I guess the coming 6 months in cold-ass'd Sweden can be summed up with Snow too.

I even used it as background music for my summer photos clip.

Well i recently bought the red hot chili peppers album 'blood sugar sex magik' and i love it to death, so my theme tune this winter will prbably be the funk filled:

Red hot chili peppers - Sir pshyco sexy!
