Everyday
Wow,
I have a hard time believing so far that I'm the only one that has voted for Everyday. You can't go wrong with any of the choices, but when you got that slow, soulful, deep base grooved song, that's the epitomy of a love jam for me. And I think Everyday does that better than any of Jamiroquai's other love jams.
When I hear Everyday, I think of a dark room only lit by candles or a fireplace, with a fine lady and a big bed and/or polar bear rug sprawled out on the floor lol.
Also I love the one part where the drum beat speeds up and Jay voices gets a little louder and faster to say "I surely need you baby!". And then goes back down to normal. Good stuff.
Great poll and good input guys. I hope y'all have happy seductions and sexy adventures to Jamiroquai love jams, because it doesn't get much better than that. Peace out y'all,
Pete |

wow.... I feel like I'm In The Mood For Love...hehe
I read your reply Jaminneapolis and I went to my bedroom and put Everyday very loud...It is exactly how you describe it. It is one of the best romantic ballads of Jamiroquai, definetely.
But is very hard to resist to the other Jami romantic songs... |

I imagine that I´m singing everyday in a concert hall to my babyboy , but as in the real life, he doen't knows he is the one, but I´m just looking straight to his eyes singing " you want me and I surely want you...." _________________ Jesus Freak |

Love ballad
I just heard TWM with earphones and I agree with Jaminneapolis and Diego - Everyday is really a great love ballad - but Spent a lifetime for me is even better. When I heard it I had this picture in my head - Jay sitting on a piano in a smoky bar, dressed like Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, a glass of whiskey on the piano and a beautyful blonde leaning against it - and he was singing Spend a lifetime - really cool daydream. It's a pity that Jay can't play the piano.
But I already voted for Falling - so I won't vote again..
Play it again Jay....

I feel ya
I feel ya on that one Butterfly. I could see your vision goin with that song. It's cool how you can always imagine a time, a place, a scenario with each song you hear. |

Well Jaminneapolis that's the magic of the songs...
I image Spend a Lifetime with Jay in a old bar, sitting with a girl, while he sings to her, crying... it is a beautiful song. |

So far I'm the only person to cast a vote for YOU ARE MY LOVE (although it's not really a ballad )
I just love this song. The brass kicks are awesome, and the lyrics are so much fun. I love all these songs really, but I needed to stick up for this great song that often gets passed over in discussion about TWOM. If you haven't heard it recently, I suggest pulling it out and listening to it again.
I'm hoping the 6th album will have more of this sound. |

Hehe, well, yes Freddie, there are a lots of tracks that we never talk about, 'Where Do We Go From Here' sounds to me like a great song but it is not on the discussions that often.
I listened today TWM again, and You Are My Love doesn't sounds to me like ballad, but Spend a Lifetime yes. And you are right, the brass kicks sounds nice, but is not one of my favorites. |

I just thought I would share this story since Diego brought up Where Do We Go From Here. A couple of months ago a new Jazz dance studio opened in town and I was trying to make up my mind as to wether or not I wanted to sign up with their program and take lessons there. Well, in my first lesson at their studio (Try all the classes you want. The first week was free!) the teacher played Where Do We Go From Here.. That Pretty much sealed the deal! I've been dancing at their studio ever since! Pretty cool huh.. |
