Sam, don't feel bad about not learning circular breathing in 7 years... I bought my digeridoo in 1993 and I still haven't learned circular breathing. But like you said... some practice every now and then wouldn't hurt. But I think my neighbours would form a lynch mob and run me out of town tarred and feathered if I played it at home. _________________ Old school forever! |

Hey Ed... I think you got the Columbia thing wrong from the very beginning. You know that Columbia is a subsidiary company to Sony BMG right? The move from Sony BMG to Columbia was entirely a strategic move within the Sony BMG organization. After the release of High Times: Singles 1992-2006 under the Columbia flag it's over... finito!
Next release (if there is one at all... we really don't know that, we can only hope) will be on a new contract... with whom we don't know. It could be with Columbia but I highly doubt it considering Jay is so upset with Sony.
Why would he want to stay in the Sony BMG family after all his rather harsh words of late? Unless they accept his terms (such as total freedom of creativity, 20 or even 30 minute songs if he wants to, the freedom to use whatever instruments he finds necessary etc) and not to forget the money he would request I think he'll just give them the finger. I actually think that Jay feels it's time to move on and won't be interested in anything the suits can offer him... the marriage with Sony BMG/Columbia will be over with the release of the greatest hits album. That's what I think anyway. I'm not connected to Jay's brain.
What I think will happen is that they will find themselves a major label what will give them free hands. Or... (what I'm hoping for) they can resurrect Orenda and simply go independent with their very own label... and perhaps put an album up on the Internet for 5 f*cking dollars.
I can only speculate though... if I could read the future I'd be as rich as Jay... and then some. _________________ Old school forever! |

Haha... exactly! I fell out of it when I went to uni, and was living in a flat. You know there's no point even taking it up with you because it'll go straight the floor and walls and piss everyone who lives above, below, and on either side of you right off... and I just forgot to take it up again when I got home, I guess.
Still, it looks nice as a piece of decor.
