Roger Sanchez remix for first single!!
Hello Jamirotalkers,
I just read on the funkin site (www.funkin.com) that on BBC Radio 1 (UK) Roger Sanchez was interviewed and said that he is getting together with Jay in a couple of weeks time to work on a remix of one of the new tracks!!
It is great news for me, cause I like very much Roger Sanchez (in fact I bought the album First Contact) and if I am not mistaken, he has worked with JK in the High Times single with a couple of remixes too.
Bye

Sanchez remix of new song...hmmm
Hello, :bm_r:
Yeah, I read that too Diego, and from what most the Guestbook fans have said, they are not looking toward it . I mean, I was honestly hoping for some new songs to be used as single B-sides, cause their hasn't been a REAL Jamiroquai single B-side since the ROTSC era (Examples of Great B-Sides: Stillness In Time (Extended Version), Space Cowboy (Demo), & Space Clav). But Roger Sanchez is a good DJ and I'm sure he will churn out a great remix that make the haters love it & the lovers hate it..hehe . Thanks for listening and good luck to Mr. Sanchez and work on the remix for the new song...whatever it is....I think it will be "Cannabliss"! (Strongest sounding & lyrical 6th album song that is a contender for first single ! ) Peace!
Sincerely,

wouldn't you consider 'Bullet' an authentic B-side? It doesn't sound like the instrumental version of a vocal track, and since TWM already had 13 tracks it wasn't something that definitely should've been on the album (like DILWUTD on AFO) . _________________ i left my funk in san francisco

Hello,
Bullet for me is one of the best Jam songs ever. I just love that tune. as for b-sides on the singles, I am pretty sure there will be at least one, in every album release it has been (Bullet, Slipin' N' Slidin' on TWM, Wolf In Sheep's Clothing and Getinfunky on S, Do It Like We Used To Do n AFO).
And Roger Sanchez? Remember they always ask to different DJs, it is not so bad, we have to give this guy a chance, he may do a good work .
Bye

Yes, Roger Sanchez has very long CV, you can see it here. You can also check here which High Times and Deeper Underground remixes he did.
I personally would rather see, that Armand Van Helden would remix that song or Knee Deep (Brilliant Main Vein and Feel So Good remixes). |

the high times radio edit that roger sanchez did is the best jamiroquai remix i've heard. It still in good respect of the original.
i can't say the same about the deeper underground mixes that he did.
well, everyone has their own opinions. |

It would suggest that the song (the single) is a dance track, since it is Roger's specialty.
The album is supposed to be closer to the old sound, but there weren't as many remixes of old songs as there were in Synkronized and AFO...
It's not the lack of B-Sides I'm worried it about, it's the amount of remixes that worries me |

Hello again,
Well, actually the only 2 songs Roger Sanchez remixed were High Times and Deeper Underground... and those were not dance tracks...so it doesn't have to be a dance song as well.
What I say is that he could turn that song into a dance track .

I've heard of Roger Sanchez, but I can't say I've heard his work...if I'm in a club, I'm more focused on the ladies than the music.
He has a pretty solid reputation on him, so I think we'll get some good dance tracks out of this. That being said, I too would like some more true b-sides; the AFO ones were great. My fave b-side is Bullet, too. Snooze You Lose was good as well. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Yeah, I just realised that actually
High Times and Deeper Undergroung were more rocky tracks. |

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Tonight I was listening that 14 seconds sample of the song that was never released (Jay Scatting on the Studio on Kazaa) and man, I looped it for several times and let me tell you I like more those 14 seconds than the 28 of Black Devil Car. I was wondering if that song (Synkronized maybe??) and others, that surely havent been release, if we are going to listen to them some day.
Remember that we always say that the two albums are better, well I bet they have songs from that time that are great, and who knows maybe we are never going to listen them!!
What do you think of this? I mean, will J ever going to show them? When the band is gone (hopefully 30 years from now!) is Sony going to release those songs in an special album or something? I cant tell, I just know that I love those 14 seconds and I want to hear the entire track some day.

As die hard fans like us we of course hope that those kind of rarities show up some time in the future. We'll never know. Maybe. As a bandmember myself, I know how easily new & great stuff can be created and somehow just to be forgotten. And for Jamiroquai, I can imagine that there are dozens of songs or parts of tunes as a result of jammin / instant inspirations...
Maybe someone can sneak into Jay's studio and find out _________________ kite carrier (geuze)

Well...if your planning that!!!
Hello again, :bm_r:
Well, if your planning on sneaking into JK's studio, you might want to read my old comic post about CosmicMouse sneaking into JK's mansion..hehe. Here's a link to that classic post of mine :
http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=252
I do share your fantasy Diego, going into JK's studio would be a dream come true, I just hope the 6th Jamiroquai album is a hit here in the States and MTV US gets a idea of doing a Jamiroquai edition of "MTV's Fanatic", then I could win that and go in the studio for REAL!! Oh, the pipe dreams we fans have..... ! Peace!
Sincerely,
