Snow?
Imagine the surprise when I woke up this morning... snow?
It's just November 1st and I live in the south. This is way too early... and it's still snowing. Time to swap for the winter tires!
I guess the snowboarding season is here soon.

I wouldn't mind using this.

Very nice snowboards, Jonas! Love them!
Here it is very stormy today. They even issued a gale warning. Big branches are falling from the trees...
Just a few minutes ago the doorbell was ringing... a man standing there, asking me if I miss a children's tent. I said: "Errr... well... could be!"
And it was indeed the boy's tent which has been flown over a few grounds and fences in one of the neighbours garden, far away from our house!

Well... I just wish the snowboard was mine. But it could in fact be mine... for something like €800 including shipping and handling.
Meike, sounds like you have a good reason to stay indoors, light some candles and make yourself cozy in the couch.
Pepela, don't be afraid. Snowboarding is fun. I've done it a few times (had I lived further up north I'd probably be doing it a lot). In the beginning you fall a lot (it ain't nothing like skateboarding which I first thought it would be), your wrists will hurt, your ass will hurt, your legs will be as tired as if you were 90 years old. But it's good fun! _________________ Old school forever! |

Ahh.. that sounds so good... I think I am gonna do this after picking up my boys... with a hot coffee on the sofa, a homemade chocolate cake, candle-light... aaaand the Jazz Café DVD again...
Autumn is not as bad as I thought...

We've had snow for a few weeks now, but I've only been skiing once, cause it's been so cold the last few days . Today it's been -15 degrees _________________ Sarah |

Well, good that we're finally having a cold snap, although I must say I'm fucking freezing as I type this, which isn't so much fun. 20+ degree days in mid-late October, in northern Europe is NOT how things should be (and still there are people who don't think global warming is real!).
I'm going to get something hot to drink now.

Most of the world leaders are willing to acknowledge that global warming is a problem. Even George W. Bush will admit that climate change is a serious problem (still he refused to sign the Kyoto treaty... wanker!).
But Vladimir Putin... well, I'll say his view on things is both "amusing" and frightening.

| An increase of two or three degrees wouldn't be so bad for a northern country like Russia. We could spend less on fur coats, and the grain harvest would go up. |
