you know there's a big ignorance about funk these days... so, i decided to be a person who teachs others about Funk... so, i called myself FunkEducation... hehehe kidding...
it was because i added Funk to Soul Education, so, that was FunkEducation... hehe kidding again...
it was because of my name Ed... i added Funk, so it was oiriginally FunkEd... then i added the "ucation" don't remember why, and it finally became FunkEducation... HAHAHA

Well the "jammer" part is obvious, but the "lily" was my grandmother's first name. When I was signing up on here I had just had a very bad experience on another group which I won't go into here and I didn't want to expose my identity before I got to know everyone and felt safe and comfortable. Of course the jamily are a wonderful group of people and it didn't take long to feel right at home so I'm using my real name a lot now

My nick name is a mix of the words FUNK and KILO:
funk = I don't need to tell why, do I? 
Kilo = My surname is Quiroga, and when I was 8 some friends started to call me QUIRO... and then QUILO (that's where it comes my e-mail adress), and then some girls said that KILO was nicer than QUILO (although it sounds the same, it is more beautiful when you write it, that's what they thought). So that's why the [iLo] is between brackets, because the K is for both funK and Kilo

Such a long story. And I feel a bit embarassed telling you it.
PART ONE
It was a sunny late summer afternoon and I was having my first internet experiences. I was used posting in a guestbook devoted to Jamiroquai, but when a couple of users started arguing (between them; I wasn't involved) refering to sexual stuff I felt somehow offended. So I started posting in another Forum with a nickname which was italian for "the refugee from sexual digression". When I understood how stupid was that nick name, I cut it into "Il Rifugiato" ("The Refugee").
END OF PART ONE
PART TWO
Now, take a weird minded person. And take the word "Rifugiato", cut it into two parts. The first one, "Rif", sounds quite like the english word "Reef". The second one, "Ug(i)", sounds quite like the english "Huge".
Then; italian for reef is "costa", and italian for huge is "immenso, grande".
Thus, Costa Grande.
I feel tired and even more embarassed, now. |

I think Space Clav is one helluva underrated tune... so that's one reason I picked it. I could just as well have used my real name though.
