..eh eh, what a discovery!
Mr. Mark IS the bass man. I've wrote many times that he would be the perfect bassist for Jamiro....
The early albums were masterpieces...listen to "Eyes waterfalling", and after listening, we could discuss about bass playing....

Great player, yes, but not for Jamiroquai. He's much more of a percussive bass player instead of a soulfull groove (Zender-style).
Funny btw, this morning I read in the newspaper that he'll play with Level 42 close to where I live.

remembers me to MY..good ol´times....

always liked the way Mark... plays the baaaaassss!!!
but..no... it is toooo much "in front"... of the music... nice for Level 42...but.. not for Jamiroquai....
but I see a similaritiy... between how Mark and Stu.. handle the bass ..but.. I´m not.. a professional bassplayer...soo.."for real " I have nooo idea... Wink Rolling Eyes

Just saw Level 42 at the Leverkusener Jazz Tage (Jazz Days Leverkusen) in Germany for the first time again since 1988 (damn, time is running Crying or Very sad )
Couldn't agree more, Mark is the KING.
One of my most valuable possessions : 1986 J&D, 1988 Status (both $$$$)
