I dig Meike's answer.
I don't think it's hard for women. I think it's hard for women that don't respect themselves. I think the key is just making sure you have respect for yourself and others and act like you own that respect and display that respect at all times. As long as you do that, then things like taking pictures, autograph's, myspace'ing band members all day, having drinks with band members, emailing/calling/texting band members, and travelling across oceans is totally okay. They are real people and it's really not that serious. I think it's a compliment in a way when you get that communication back - it's like you know they respect you as you respect them.
And let's keep it real - we all resort back to childish or immature behavior in certain situations, especialy in front of people we love or admire, or just caught up in the moment.
And to tell you the truth - I used to cringe at the thought of women trying to have sex with famous people, but Sola (through a CYL interview) made me see a different side to that which is - they are adults afterall, and what they do is their business. The women aren't any worse or less than a regular woman that acts like that with non-famous people. With 2 consenting adults, it's really not my business!
As far as throwing yourself on the stage and any of those antics - I say the same things about 'EWWW', and all that, but in reality - it's none of my business, and if that's what that person wants to do and it doesn't harm anybody - then it's all just a laugh, and who really cares? Not me!
It's all good!
PS. This applies to men also! _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

OK...
I would be really pissed if someone called me a groupie! I love the music, it's just that simple.
And I was at that shoe-smelling-party and the only shoes I saw had feet in them... |

ok....having watched this particular thread grow and grow...i feel i have to put finger to keyboard and say that,in my opinion, there are only a few of the jamirowomen that i consider to be PROPER followers of the band...the rest just all seem like 12 year old 'COOL'-girls that are hanging on to every single word that jay says or does....for funks sake,he cud say in the papers or wotever that he wants all us FANS to jump oof a cliff to sell his next record and certain Jamiroslappers wud do it....grow up bints...its about the music...not the size of Jays co....i mean....choruses....''when you gonna learn''? _________________ ''SYNKRONIZED SINCE '94' |
