My myspace has been hacked  An idiot modifyied my bar with links to a phishing login (very easy to discover...idiot!). I changed the passwords, removed the malicious code and now hope nobody will receive spam from "me". Please inform me if you receive something bad...
Myspace shall really do something fast to improve security

U've been phished by scammers who easily access millions of valid e-mail addresses to send these scams to.
I read something about it: some pages look exactly like the myspace page but they r not.
This is a pretty serious issue for people using any sites really, not just myspace.
If you are unsure of a site, then use something like SpoofStick. This works as a toolbar for IE or Firefox and can show you the actual site that you are on.

SpoofStick is a simple browser extension that helps users detect spoofed (fake) websites. A spoofed website is typically made to look like a well known, branded site (like ebay.com or citibank.com) with a slightly different or confusing URL. The attacker then tries to trick people into going to the spoofed site by sending out fake email messages or posting links in public places - hoping that some percentage of users won't notice the incorrect URL and give away important information. This practice is sometimes known as “phishing".
SpoofStick makes it easier to spot a spoofed website by prominently displaying only the most relevant domain information.

Right, maybe that happened while I was browsing a profile and I started an interaction like "add to your friends" or "add comment" and I WASN'T LOGGED. So I was expecting a login page BUT THIS PAGE WAS PROBABLY featuring A FAKE login box. It's a very easy phishing malicious code to do, he can just change the link e.g in "addMe" and point to a fake login page. There are also javascripts to change the url listed in the upper bar!!!! and so it's really difficult to catch. Consider that you're a bit relaxed browsing myspaces, it's not like going on paypal or homebanking sites and you can understand how easy is to fall in such stupid scammers.
so..pay attention mate! Thanks FRA for the SpoofStick tip!

Read this and pay attention!
For stupid idiots to get your login information. Ever been to a page with a blue bar at the top instead of the normal navi bar? Thats a fake bar. when you click it it will take you to the so called login page, DO NOT ENTER YOUR INFORMATION IN THAT LOGIN FIELD, its a scam.
the bar looks like this:
On that one when you click the links and try to go somewhere it doesnt go through but some pages do. this message pops up when i click something on that bar
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at www....
* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
In the address bar up top it says:
http://www.../images/login.html
Its trying to access this website:
http://www.../images/login.html
When you enter that into a mozilla firefox browser window in the adress bar this is what happens
it knows that its a forged website. if you use Mozilla Firefox, click "GET ME OUT OF HERE".
Remember the fake navi bar looks like this
if you dont want to get hacked, DELETE THE TEXT AT THE VERY BOTTOM . if you see text in your sections you DIDNT PUT THERE, delete it. ONLY DELETE THE STUFF MARKED IN RED.
Once you have deleted the text save changes look at your profile and make sure the navigation bar is back to normal... then CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD RIGHT AWAY
