Jay said in the DVD that he had a nutty girlfriend who wanted to be the Cosmic Girl in the video but Jay didn't agree with mixing pleasure & business so he had to come up with something else to represent the Cosmic Girl so he thought about using the car instead of a girl.

Jay used his Diablo in the video but someone crashed it, so they had to find another one, once they found another one Jay asked that no-one use it but him but the director assured him that the stunt drivers knew what they were doing and they could trust their driving - well low & behold the stunt driver crashed that car as well - so both cars are out - the 2nd car had the windscreen smashed so that's why in some shots you can see it without a windscreen Smile

There is an bug in the supersonic video though .. if you go to the video selector then play it from there it stops at 1:04 then goes back to the menu Sad
The rest of the clip is tacked on the end of the KFAD clip ...????
this is the same on either a DVD or Laptop
The clips play fine when they're viewed on the Play All ...

I noticed this too - I also noticed they have three seperate complete files for each video (one set for the 'play all' from the main menu, one for the 'play' from each sub-menu (album) and another for playing each video individually. Seems like overkill to me - I dunno, maybe it's normal Rolling Eyes

Odd... it plays fine in my copy, on PC and on a proper player...

Smile Watched the DVD last night Smile

Wow...This is the first time I've seen many of the videos on an actual television screen - so it was great. I forgot how disturbing WYGL was. I was drooling at the sight of Toby with no shirt in SIT Heart. Seeing Sola and Rob debut in the videos, Wallis dancing around with nothing to do in the non-didge songs, Toby not really knowing how to dance at all or move in Supersonic... Wink , Stu's faces as the passenger in CG, Jay and Sola playing "football" in SDISJ, No facial hair on Jay in the beginning vids, Derrick's silly grins in SIT, Stu doing the fake pimp move in BYM, All the guys trying to keep straight faces in Alright during the elevator scene....

I could go on and on and on, but these are things that stand out. They've came such a long way. I didn't know all the details about the vid's and stuff as many people do, so it was great to listen to the interviews. Like in CG, I knew one car was wrecked, but I didn't know 2 were... Embarassed

The commentary and interviews overlap with the Podcasts - some of the stuff is duplicated in both. Also, the Lost J Wave interview was hilarious..Jay had no idea what that chic was saying and when he'd look at the camera - it was just this ridiculous, lost face.

Good times, Good times...

After watching them all twice last night, my favorite video is still High Times followed by Stillness In Time.

They were young and having fun, and it's so noticeable when the vibe of that carefree spirit started to change.

Anyway, it's great to see this and I'm happy to finally have all the vids in my possession!

deesh, did you notice how the translation from PAL to NTSC didn't go over so well on Stillness in Time and Space Cowboy? The frame rate definitely makes Jay and company looks like they are in fast forward. Oh well its still great to have an official video collection Very Happy

I skipped over SC honestly, because I have that one on VHS from the Deeper Underground release years ago, and SIT, I had only seen on a small screen on my computer, so I can't really tell the difference at all Wink

SIT is my favourite too Smile I also love LY. One can only imagine the laughs they had doing those videos.

There are so many things I didn't notice before, ie the woman in the bath in CH! The DVD is certainly like having a new pairs of specs! Cool

Well, WYGL for example seems to be wrapped with a videocamera (not a film camera) and contains also snippets of archive footage (greenpeace) etc. DVD "quality" does not make the videos any better. With some post-production job the picture could have had some enhancements but generally not that much.

And video is always compressed in DVD's. If someone could have the original (digi)betacam master of the video, we might see if the quality of the picture is any better for the eyes Smile

There's only one version of the DVD... well two, PAL and NTSC. It seems like both are region 0 though. Yours is most likely PAL.

Do not confuse this one with the DVD included in the Japanese limited edition.
