| I could tell you lots of amusing school stories about JK |
Yeah, me too! Two years ago me and my best friend JK (I saw his id card...it states actually Name:J. Family Name: K. belive me!!! I'm not joking! ) were riding on his Ferrari and then he invited me at a cool party in London. We were dancing and screaming all night long and there were a lot of wicked girls all around. Then Jay ordered some bottles of champagne just for me and the girls and a bit of flour...never understood what this white dust was for...still asking myself) and then at early morning we got back home together. I was about to forget he gave me as present some rare promo items including the morning glory one and th IILIJDI and many many others.
What a wicked best friend Jay is?! _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here...

I was wondering a thing, maybe stupid...but the real surname of Jay is not something like Cheetam??? so @ school that was how he was called no ?
we can do a kind of challange..who say it bigger!!! so the one that has more fantasy win something!!
is a bit sad that ppl have to make themselves notice trough someone else fame!! to me it means they do not believe in themselves enaught..if they have to behave like this
Vere

From that Wikipedia entry... 'Portugese-Jewish'?! So no mention of the ENGLISH part of him at all, then...?

well... as you mention wikipedia... I'd never trust this site, because people like you and me are writing the articles - maybe just writing down what they have read somewhere, without any proof.
I remember some years ago the question came up if Jay's surname (or second name) is Cheetham. I did a research then and could only find one source - one interview which mentioned this name. I have never ever found any other source beside that interview in that time.
Meanwhile loads of websites have adopted this information... I am not that sure if it is right. I could be wrong, but I cannot remember that any official source has ever confirmed this name. I always thought it was a fake...
I admit, when you google today, you find this name "Cheetham" in combination with our Jay a lot, in different languages also - but for me it seems if they just copied from each other.
Maybe I am totally wrong and it is true in fact. Who knows...

Yeah, that's a definite possibility, Meike. I also find it a bit odd because he was born in Manchester, and there's a (very famous) music school in Manchester called Cheetham's. It's maybe not that strange, and of course it's probably only a coincidence, but whenever I think of 'Jay Cheetham', I have to wonder whether someone just made it up.
Also, there's never (as far as I've seen) been any mention of Cheetham being Jay's mum's surname. You'd think if it was really the case, they'd at least mention that Kay was her STAGE name... but no...
