thanks so much for your love and thoughts. more details are coming out about her accident...such a shame how it all went down. i don't want to speculate...anyway, thanks again for the love and have a great weekend...
shock is over, grieving is in progress, and moving on has begun..
another friend i hadn't spoken with in months called me yesterday to tell me he and his girlfriend are having a baby girl...so much in one day, blessings. anyway:

I am so sorry for you both, I understand completely coz I lost one very dear friend of mine a few years ago and sometimes I still miss her but I assure to you that this sadness will pass and the life will go on, it´s just what it is, you can stop it and you have to though that everything happens for a reason and although this sound so cliche you will always remember them and will always be their friends and thats what matters
I hope these few words help you, I know they wont but anyway I just wanna to support you both and let you know that I´m with you, I´ve been there I know how it is, my condolences to you both. |

It was a pretty bad day for us today, my husband's 16 year old cousin has had leukemia for the last 12 months and has been really strong in fighting it - he's had 2 lots of chemotherapy over those 12 months and has been extremely brave.
He lost his fight today He started to get infections in his body and had a minor stroke and they had to take him off life support this morning and he died at noon today.
It's just heartbreaking to think a 16 year old boy has had his life taken away, his family are devastated, we are all devastated - we have all been crying today and just went to visit his family - I don't know what to say

Sam, I dunno really what to say either... so sorry to hear that. Wish you and all involved loads of strength and love and strong company for you all.
Just yesterday I was watching a big charity gala on german TV where international stars are performing and you can call and donate for ill children.
(I was mainly watching it because Miran has recently programmed the system for the data capture for a big german phone company and all the data from the people who were donating have been running through Miran's system - so I was curious if everything works well without crashing and so on... people donated more than 5 Million EUR, btw!)
It was very touching because they showed the stories of young children like your husband's cousin and how they are fighting against cancer, leukemia and stuff like that. Very depressing to see and I have shed some tears although I didn't know those people... especially when you have children yourself and you know how much you worry about their health anyway, things like that go to your heart because you are afraid that life can change so fast, in a bad way...
When something like that happens, you see everthing in a different light. Some things you were worring about just seem to be so unimportant then. Priorities are changing which is maybe good and necessary.
I wish you a lot of strength, Sam. Sending you much love!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for everyone's kind words - they have really meant a lot to me. The funeral is going to be Wednesday so it's going to be a really hard day, but there's going to be hundreds of people there so it just shows how much he was loved
