JMQ Stuff You Don't Like
Hello Jamirotalkers,
Like we always talk about 'Favorite Jamiroquai song', 'Rate the Best Jamiroquai Album', I think we never talked about songs you don't like. For example, I can say that I don't consider any song as BAD, but I do think that some songs are better than others.
So, my question here in this topic is, which JMQ song you don't like? Or you don't hear so often? And if there's a reason; why?.
If you want to know about me, there is only one song I skip most of the time, it is 'Whatever It Is, I Just Can't Stop'. I don't know why, I just don't listen to it...hehe.
I would love to read your replies!
D! (diego)

Drifting Along was never one of my favourites, but I appreciate they were trying something original and different for it. |

There are no songs that I absolutely hate. Every track is listeneable.
Let's see. Every song in EOPE & ROTSC is brilliant. Sometimes on TWM I skip the didgeridoo-songs but sometimes I actually listen to those particularly.
Synk. Planet Home, Deeper U. BUT I very often listen to & enjoy the live versions of these.
On AFO it gets worse: I find Feel so good quite boring, and 2001 - I don't like the voice manipulation thing.
Those live versions of the songs prove that Jay & co. are very skillful composers. _________________ kite carrier (geuze)

Very true Geuze....
Hello, :bm_r:
Hmm, that is a hard question for me. Your right about all the Jamiroquai songs in some little way being each listenable Gueze . Well, I'm a big fan of the JMQ (Cool initials Diego !) songs: Everybody's Going to the Moon (Oh, what was JK thinking?!?), Stop Don't Panic (I agree with Geuze!), Snooze You Lose (Sounds good, but lyrically, very bad!), & Didgin' Out (I wish it was longer than 2 1/2 minutes ! ). There you go, as for the rest of the songs, they all shine in their own distinct ways . Peace and take care!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

There is only one song I refuse to listen to: King for a Day. I don't have a problem with it musically, but it's terribly harsh towards Stu. Kind of a shock after "interplanetary good vibe zone," don't you think?
I've read a lot of people don't like Drifting Along, but I enjoy it. Simon Katz sounds authentically reggae!

It always depends on my mood what songs I like or dislike. One day I love them - the other day I skip them. I.e. Whatever it is or Light years or Feel so good or Use the force or the instrumental songs. |

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I don't like listening to some of the Space Cowboy songs, because they're too slow and lazy, and sometimes I love listening to them for the same reason.
I've never particularly dug Black Capricorn Day and You Give Me Something. Just never have. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Yeah, now that beena mentioned Light Years... I only enjoy the chorus!.
Stop Don't Panic... what can I say?... some days it is my favorite and some other I hate it. I think they tried to do a similar song like Deeper Underground (that was a big success), but they couldn't imitate that wonderful song (although Deeper was never one of my favorites... in fact, I always wonder why it had so much success...).
Another song I enjoy the chorus -only-: Feel So Good and (it depens on my mood), Twenty Zero One. And I agree with Jamirofan, Didgin' Out should have been longer.

Yeah, I think so EvoV, but you are saying that the song had success cause of the movie?
I really liked the movie, although some people said it was bad. It was not like saying 'Awesome, you should see it, blah', but it was a good entertainment.
(Listening to Deeper now )
