el boxet frances
So the market price is not 220 Euros..

I am very doubtful of the second seller, he`s a single feedback fella, so keep your eyes opened, and wallets closed.

The market price should be €150 and up... depending on condition. During 2006 boxes sold for anything between €150 and 300-something.

But nobody is going to bid on the €220 box when there is a €1 box on eBay at the same time. Everyone interested in acquiring the box is hoping to make a killer bargain on the cheap one. €49.50 at the moment... some 17h left. The price will increase a bit and then some towards the end.

The €220 seller should have been smart and wait until the first one sold. Then the desperate collectors who didn't win the first one would be more interested in spending €220.

I reckon the "market price" is €175 then. Not too bad... I guess it can be considered a reasonable price.

If I recall correctly the €220 seller was the same guy who won one for €307 last year. Looks like he made a bad deal then.

I guess I was lucky last year... when I bought my box. It was bought under the €150 with the shipping price, I had the luck of having the box number 0021, and better... in MINT state! Incredible! The cd's smell like new, still packed and all. An extraordinary item indeed.

Sometimes luck knocks on my door too... Very Happy

Pay with a credit card through PayPal. Make sure you pay extra for registered airmail (lettre recommandée). Make the seller email you the tracking number so you can follow the parcel online at laposte.fr.

If the seller rip you off eBay/PayPal will cover 80% by default as far as I know. Your credit card company will reimburse you the rest. Just report the seller with eBay and PayPal and contact your credit card company and file a fraud complaint.

Don't be afraid. Just make sure you got everything covered and save all communication with the seller in case you need to supply proof to eBay/PayPal or your credit card company.

Good luck! I'm pretty sure it'll work out just fine though. Smile

By the way... On eBay you can request the sellers contact details such as full address and phone number etc. They only allow this for sellers of items you've won or possibly even bidding on.
