Cosmic Night - Hungarian Jamiroquai Tribute Project
Well, some of U might already know about this thing, but the majority don't. I always wanted to organize a release party/tribute night for the hungarian fans, with the involvement of some of my musician friends. I was on the best way last year, when my friend suddenly passed away and by his death I threw this idea into the bin. But after a couple of weeks I felt we gotta do this show, this is what he would expect from us, so I started to look for another band, which I found quite easily, as the singer performed in a Talent Competition with Too Young To Die. Anyway, Jamiroquai.hu proudly presents now the show Cosmic Night (credit goes to Victor for the artwork, who moulded my imagination perfectly)

So the show will take place in Club Alcatraz (www.alcatraz.hu), one of the best places in Budapest. I was planning with 2 special guests/singers, but after 2 regrets in the last week we decided to do the show with 1 guy. Band is going to be Walkó Csaba & The Brownfield (their debut album 2 years before was called "Jamiroquaish" by most critics), special guest is going to be Gál Csaba Boogie, one of my best soulfunk brothers (http://www.myspace.com/somedaybabycrybaby), who was alo taking part in the biggest Talent Competition here and finished as 2nd best male singer in those serie, and he performed Deeper Underground (I don't find the recording now...). We're doing some promotional work also with the help of local Sony/BMG, I'm hoping the club to be full for the night, cause if not, I'll eat my boots... Razz Another venue is already booked for 02.02.2007. (Club Cyrano) in Pécs, which is another bigger city of Hungary. More infos later... Wink[/b]

Yes René, I was really nervous until the very last seconds of the show, but: WHAT A NIGHT IT WAS Cool ! Just a short feedback on the outcome until I receive the pix to be able to proove my words: the gig was magnificent!!! Everything was way better than I expected. The venue was full, the crowd started dancing after the 5th track and partied all night long. We kicked-off the show with a didgeridoo-flavoured Deeper Underground, but all the biggest hits were on the setlist (which contained 18 tracks). The guys were on spot, Gal Csaba almost ruined the stage while singing Whatever It Is I Just Can't Stop (his all-time fave Jamiroquai track), but also Blow Your Mind duett was memorable (was a bit like Montreux '03). The guys didn't want to have any recording of the first show, but next time we'll make efforts to record it in best quality. A girl came up on stage in Cosmic Girl, tried to enjoy the singers company for a while Razz ! Encore was Black Devil Car with a bit of reggae after second chorus. Everyone was delighted, the crowd, the band, the promoter of the venue and also the owner, so to be continued... Cool
