They HAVE actually pulled out the good old Fender Rhodes. At their recent concerts, Matt Johnson plays the Rhodes on almost all the songs. Listen to the Montreux 2003 concert, there's a sound that I like :D
And with this sound, and with the addition of some horn arrangements on selected tracks, the new album will be great!

I like the sound from Matt and the Rhodes as well, reminds me of the early days. Of course, the STM from Montreaux was supposed to have horns too, at least according to Frenchiroquai. I guess we all have listened to STM Version 1 then. Wonder what V2 will sound like? _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Hi!,
about the tracks of the new album I think that we have:
-black devil car
-cannabliss
-funk oddysey
-shoot the moon
and , there are anything else for the moment??
sorry for my bad english |
i really cant see funk oddysey on the new album, why have a song that is the title of the old album on the new one?
nor can i see shoot the moon or cannabliss on it as these seemed to be songs that he wrote to fill in the time before the new ablum comes out, or it would get a little boring for him to sing the same songs for 2-3 years, and not use his writing tallent to its uses
black devil car will be on it, as this song has not been broadcast a lot, |

Your right Fisherman ;-)!
Hello :bm_r:
Yeah, your right Shinyfisherman, I really don't see "A Funk Odyssey" showing up on the 6th album. But that song could be a strong contender (If they recorded a studio version of it?!?) as a future single B-Side maybe, that would be nice . As for the other new songs, yeah, they are all 6th album track worthy, even the flimsy sounding "Shoot The Moon", sound needs a little work BUT the lyrics are perfect . My hope for the 1st single is the song "Cannabliss", has a great sound equaled with some deep lyrics. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

Es bueno que haya gente en estos foros que hable en español!!!! Yo soy de Venezuela, hice un curso de ingles, lo termine y ahora estoy es aprendiendo a hablarlo...!!!!
Well, I think Jamiroquai is getting a Rocky Band, i don't know, Black Devil Car is a good song, but it's nothing compared with Love Foolosophy or Little L of the last album. The only song I heard until now that I love is Shoot the Moon, the power of the Song is amazing and the guitars are thing we most hear in the song. Sola is doing a great job too, I'm a percussionist and I think he's a monster!!! Other amazing song is the Soul Education of the Montreux Jazz Festival 2003!!! The intro is a explosion, it's the best performance of this song in all this years... for me...
I don't know what all of you think...

You are trully right!
I only hope Shoot the Moon can came in AWSOME version in cd , with trompett saxophone etc..
For me is the best song from Jamiroquai since Synk(included).
That Soul Education i tink is the best version of all times they ever played ...but theres still something...like some scratchs...som trompett ...oh well you know what i'm saing _________________ hooked up |

Of course I know what you're saying... Some songs of the new Jamiroquai are great, like Love Foolosophy, Canned Heat, but i think a lot of people is missing old sounds like Cosmic Girl, Didjital Vibrations, Music of the Mind (that instrumental is so good, and Didjital V. too), ohh i just remembered, one thing i want to see in the new CD is more instrumentals, like the quality of the last two songs I called. I thing that drawing out the DJ D-Zire and Wallis was a big Error!!!! Have you heard Our time is coming??? That song is amazing, and the video in the MTVs is very good!!! Trumpets, DJ, Digeridoo, Drums, Toby in the Keyboards, the bassman, and finally Jay with the blue knitted cap... Is very difficult to forget that, and now all of this does not exists. I think the best times of Jamiroquai were of the third CD. The Grammys, Virtual Insanity and the same Our time is coming that is of the same times...
That's very bad... Let's see what Jay does in this new Production!!! He impressed me with Shoot the Moon!! _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!
