Guys, when these guys tour close to where you are, I definately recommend seeing them. I've seen them twice. Once at the Quest Club in Minneapolis (prolly the most drunk I've been in my life), and they were very good then. They also were very good at Coachella a couple of months ago.

Their music translates well live, and Ana-Matronic really knows how to work a crowd. She actually interacvts with the crowd a lot more than Jake Shears does, but that's not a bad thing. She's really fun.

So yeah, go see them if you have the chance.

They're playing Bestival here over the weekend of 8th - 10th September. One year I will get to this festival!!

http://www.bestival.net/

Regarding the first single off the new album. I'm not too keen on the Radio Edit but am currently listening to the Paper Faces Mix & that totally rocks!! Though to be fair in my eyes anything Stuart Price touches turns to gold!! Don't think I've heard a bad remix from the guy yet, whichever alias he's working under...

Brent, Yvie, Pete and any other SS fans...saw this and thought of you:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/presents/scissorsisters/

Feather boas at the ready...Scissor Sisters day is coming.

On Friday 15th September, we want you to kick off your old trainers, or whatever you choose to wear on your feet, and put on your best dancing shoes.

Scissor Sisters are back and they're going to spend a whole day hanging out at Maida Vale and performing live tracks.

You could be there to see it all happen by listening to Radio 1 all this week and taking part in our wonderfully titled quiz 'Scissor Sisters, Paper, Stone'.

If you're not one of the luck few, then make sure you listen on Friday...

On Radio 1
Jo Whiley at Maida Vale, 10am - interview and live performance
Essential Selection, 6pm - hosted by Scissor Sisters/live tracks

More live tracks and chat in the Chris Moyles show, Vernon Kay (in for Edith Bowman), and Scott Mills.

On red button
If you've got satellite, digital cable or Freeview you'll be able to watch a film of our Scissor Sisters day by pressing red on any BBC channel from Monday 18 September for seven days. If not then you can always watch it online here (also 18 September).

It sounds like a great follow up and there are some funky tunes which sound nice!!

Incase you guys forgot or didn't see it, the BBC Scissor Sisters Day is still up:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/presents/scissorsisters/

Friday was Scissor Sisters day on Radio 1!

The band spent the whole day hanging out at Maida Vale and Radio 1 and performing live tracks and now you can see them perform for yourself!

Watch the video
Half an hour of live tracks and behind-the-scenes Scissor Sisters action.
(Due to the extrovert nature of the band some scenes in this film may not be suitable for a very young audience)

See the photos
Pics from on stage and backstage at Maida Vale and R1

Listen again to Jo Whiley at Maida Vale
Including interviews and three live tracks

Listen again to the Essential Selection
Presented by the Scissor Sisters, with DJ Sammy Jo and Erol Alkan

Listen again to Vernon Kay
With more live music from the band

Listen again to Chris Moyles
With two live tracks and guess the drum intro!

Listen again to Scott Mills
With more live music from the Scissor Sisters

to be perfectly honest, scissor sisters sucks ass. a lot. no offence. it's absolutely fucked up that this band is often associated to jamiroquai. FUKT i say.

Jay once mentioned that he liked the Scissor Sisters - however, if people choose to associated Jamiroquai with the Sisters musically after that comment, they need their head examined! Wink

I love the Scissor Sisters myself - their videos are creative, colourful, their music is cheerful and their lyrics make me laugh. Kiss You Off is one of my favourite tracks.
