Jonas...great review!! 
Really a great one! you've been so able describing things and events that made me think i was there too!! very amazing!
i don't know from where to begin with comments...you wrote a lots of funny and interesting things that we've just to read and enjoy. 
But as an italian, who i am , i have to congratulate with u for the lesson of Italian Espresso you've learned very very well!!

Oh my God Jonas what a review! wonderfull!
of the cars I've understood only Porche and Jaguar  but was great!
It was great to meet you and share this experience! I'm so glad we all had the chance to be there!

Thank you very much Jonas for your review.. It seems I was there!!
it was very interesting read the part about cars experience! So people who won too were really able to drive those cars  Amazing... i wonder how they did it!
And then it's beautiful reading about your walks and meetings in London!
So, again, thank you for sharing your emotions with us!
Now recover your health and then you'll be ready to post more photos, coments ecc..

hi all, thanks for the messages - and thanks for Russ to deleting mine which were a little extreme.... I had a terrible moment of panic, and posted on the forum - I think - I knew the people I really needed thinking of me at that time, would read it, and be sending positive thoughts...I couldn't get hold of my Mum and you guys were the next best thing... it's been a really, really awful time, something that no mother ever wants to go through, but it's all okay now.
and on that note, let's have some happy vibes.

sorry it's a bit long.
Well…firstly what a truly amazing time I had. It was wonderful. As always, I will concentrate on the emotions I felt….and try to put these into words.
I had a call from Russ on Monday night to say that, fingers crossed, he may have arranged a ticket for me, he had to wait until the next day for confirmation…as you can imagine I went “slightly” hyper….lots of jumpedoing around the room! And quick text to my Mum to tell her that I was gonna be in London for another night, so her babysitting was extended! (bless my Mum for supporting my jamiromadness!).
My plan had always been to leave work at lunchtime on Tuesday and hook up with Jonas & Russ, going home Weds afternoon.
Karen, who I share an office with, had prepared some signs…knowing that Tuesday morning I was going to be insufferable…..whenever I talked she held up a sign…the first said “ohh that’s interesting”…the second, “shut up”…the third, “I’m losing the will to live now…”.. lol.
The morning eventually passed…I didn’t really complete much work….never mind…lol. I eventually escaped work…and changed into my alter-ego…MsP was away on her Jamirobreak! (credit to Russ for that word...lol).
Thanks for getting the audio up so quickly Andy…listening to it now. It’s helping to recapture the fantastic mood .
I arrived at Waterloo around 2.20. Had a call from Russ…he was there too…but we were both in different places….he was still underground. I stood near the entrance to the tube…on phone to Russ..and whilst talking saw him and Jonas coming up the escalator .
I love these first moments when you see each other, especially when you’re meeting a friend for the first time…Jonas spotted me first - hugs all round…I was reunited with the Jamily again, good moment.
We hopped* back on the tube, and headed for Soho.
*I sound sooooo casual…the truth is I absolutely hate the tube…as the boys knew…thanks for being understanding guys!
Okay…now at this point I became faintly worried….okay, we hear all the stories…we know it can be dangerous to meet strangers from the internet….I meet these two guys and their first thoughts are to take me to Soho…..Jonas was very insistant about going to Soho….he was also fully focused on a certain place he wanted to find….warning signals flashed in my head…was I being taken to some dubious strip club?? Was my innocence going to be shocked?? Are Swedish people really this forward???? Ohhhhhhhh my mind was scared!
Thank heavens the only thing in Jonas’s mind was Vinyl ! Lol - you rude Swedish man!
We had a wander round Soho, Carnaby street, Charing Cross road, (we did a huge big circle!).. The time was pressing on, we had arranged to meet David around 6, so we headed back to the hotel for an hour so I could dump my gear and freshen up.
We eventually met David, after much debate about which way was “up” on Carnaby Street! Thank the Lord Jonas knows his “ups” and “downs” lol.
We spent a lovely couple of hours with David, joined by Ezbe during our second pint. We were slightly “mad” and took a table outside…thank heavens for outside heaters! I had around 20 minutes of near-fainting experience - I sat on my finger (dodgy stupid chairs) and semi-crushed it on the nail.. Jonas and Russ were brilliant - Jonas did the “Dad” bit “wave it around in the air”, ….I felt such a wuss…and ended up on the toilet floor, being sick…lol it’s usually the drink that does that!
We left David in Picadilly and headed to Chinatown with Ez in tow. Had a great meal..I think I was slightly inebriated at this point…but we had a great time, great conversation, good food and ……it was lovely. Good recommendation Jonas.
Me and Jonas had a discussion about how loving Jamiroquai gave us an escape from our “responsible” lives…it’s all about keeping the kid inside of you alive .
We headed back to the hotels and said happy goodbyes knowing the next day promised to be wonderful…
The majority of Wednesday was spent chilling, Jonas went into the city to shop and meet up with the Italians. Myself and Russ just chilled listening to music and talking non-stop - it was great to see each other in the flesh (that sounds rude..I do NOT mean “buff” guys!). We’ve built up such a good friendship since Mean Fiddler, it was great to be able to talk face to face - and bicker in real life .
We headed out to get some food, our hotel was literally just around the corner from The Scala…we went to take a look at the venue, see if anyone was queuing, around 12...and then came the next Jamily re-union…
We were crossing the road and who should we see….Fra & Alessia!!! More hugs all round. I felt guilty at this point, the girls weren’t sure if they were “in”, I was - it’s hard because you’re so full of excitement, but feeling so bad for the others.
We lunched then started to get ready for the gig…with B Live as the final soundtrack - Jonas “called” for us at 3.30.…the three musketeers were in “gig” mode!!!
We arrive at The Scala at around 4.15….and lol…the Three Amigos are already there! The next Jamily reunion.
“Radio” playing now on my playlist…this was amazing.
So we all do our hugs…trainers are compared…the boys eye up each other’s clothing…I’m soooooooo glad I’m a girl in these situations…it’s all so bloody competitive!!! My favourite trainers were “Figo” Gianluca’s…I like green! Lol.
I’d last met Luca and Gianluca at Mean Fiddler, we didn’t really talk much to each other at that gig….but this time it was brilliant, the language barrier was less…Janluka didn’t have to translate so often - Guys you have to come to England more, your English will be superb!
I think my favourite moment outside the gig - we were standing in a circle, myself, Jonas, Russ, Janluka, Ginaluca, Luca…all chatting - we started talking about our pronunciations…and one of the Luca’s remarked on the way we say “Jay”…sooooooooooo we are all stood in this circle saying “Jay. Jay. Jay” - showing how we say it with our accents…..
Suddenly it dawned on us what we were saying…we were standing in a frigging circle chanting “JAY. JAY. JAY” . From the outside we must have sounded like a bunch of fanatical nutters!!!!!!!
Very funny moment.
Derrick stopped for a chat with us all, that was a cool moment. After a time, Rob popped out of the Scala and spoke with us all too - I love these moments, it’s worth the queuing for bloody hours to get to the front!
Then came the next Jamily moment…Russ said to me “is that Funkynicki?”….a lady standing to the side of us, with a guy. I went over…”are you nicki?”….it was . So introductions all round….a new Jamily meet.
Uhhh I ought to fast forward this…it’s getting like “war and peace”.
Okay…Derrick and Rob both come back, have photos with us all, sign “stuff” - we’re all happy bunnies!
The Italian girls arrive - good to see Vere with them too! They disappear to get ready…and we just carry on queuing and chatting…it’s getting cold…we pass the time by thinking of Jamiroquai songs which suit the moment of the sun going down….and the coldness! Sad game…but well……it’s not much fun queuing when it’s cold!
We have a good bonding moment in a little café - myself, Nicki, Andy, Gianluca and Luca warm up…and confuse the poor guy who’s trying to serve us…how many expressos did we want???? We had an Italian lesson whilst we waited…okay…I’ve moved on from Bellissimo…now everything is “Figo”…I hope these guys aren’t teaching me “rude” words! Lol
The time seems to pass so quickly then. We had problems with the guy….it wasn’t sorted out until around an hour before doors opened…so the queue was heading out into the road (there were around 10 additional people other than Jamily by this time).
Everyone, except myself, Nicki, Russ and Andy headed off for a little bit…and at this point security decided to erect barriers, it all became rather messy and we couldn’t properly hold the queue - although the guys behind were very sweet and let the Italians jump the barrier. It wasn’t so good at this time - Fra, Vere and Figo Gianluca were on the other side… L. I friggin hate these competitions. You’re totally totally hyper cos you know whats coming up - the best time of your life - but you’re feeling so bad for those who could be left outside.
The time then just flew past. Russ was fronting the head of our queue - there were 2 queues, which was rather confusing - Jonas was about 5th in line in his queue. We passed the time talking with a nice lady, Anna, who has promised to stop being a lurker on the forums and post on Jamirotalk J.
The doors open…Russ is in first…we have to go to the box office - give our names and receive our ticket. Nicki and Andy follow..I’m next. Russ is put to one side..why the fuck I don’t know! But the plan was for Jonas and Russ to hold a place for me….Jonas isn’t in sight….Janluka is suddenly in front of me…say his name…points at list….but we’re both “Jan’s” so the woman behind the desk finds me first…I’m off……and ohhhh fuck, I’m gonna have to hold Jonas’s and Russ’s place…
Okay…quick aside…why is Russ always first through doors but I get to the stage before him???
I run up stairs, around stairs…pass Nicki and Andy who are just standing still and shout “THIS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY”….lol. I semi-stopped…and did the cartoony screech of brakes at the top of the stairs which revealed the venue in it’s full glory…fuck it was a cool sight…the stage was MINUTE!
My phone starts ringing…I’m running (dunno why cos there wasn’t anyone else around!!! Lol) ….and I make it to the stage first…followed by Nicki, Andy, Janluka and Luka….fuck I love those moments!!! (sorry for the language…:S)…answer phone and it’s Darthbuzz…he’s outside…I’m shouting…”I’m at the front DARTH!”
Then we have the “we made it” cuddle moments….those moments are great.
Jonas and Russ eventually come down the stairs…and we’re all there….the Jamily have the front line!!!!! Thanks for holding their spaces with me Nicki!
So we pass the time til kick-off. I go off to buy beer for the boys..I ask for bottles of Bud…am told it has to be poured into plastic cups…no bottles allowed….okay, one bottle fills half a cup….I can’t take that back…I end up buying 5 bottles to fill 3 glasses…it cost £18.30!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly collapsed! Lol I got a slap from Russ later for not figuring out it would have been cheaper just to buy pints! (okay..this has no relevance to the gig….but I’m still in shock!!!)
We all chat, I talk to Alessia, who is feeling pretty bad cos the girls are still outside…I am trying to tell her that they will be feeling sad…but happy that she is there representing them…I don’t like you sad Ale, you need to always smile with that pretty face
I head off to the toilet pre-gig…and I scream sooooooo loudly…coming down the stairs…it’s Piero and Laura….sooooooo good to see these guys. Since 2005 we have enjoyed special moments together…truly special to see you guys again.
I “run” to the ladies…I turn a corner and spot Matt and Tania having a drink in a cutesy little alcove..I ask if it is the VIP area J. chat for a minute of two - lovely couple - I worry if I am over-familiar now…I kiss them both like an old friend would! Lol. I wish Matt luck for the gig. Tania is so beautiful, inside and out and they both have that “love” glow surrounding them. It’s inspiring .
Trip to ladies over (don’t worry I won’t describe toilets in great detail!)…although there was only one hand-dryer, and I gestured to a fellow “pee-er” to use it, I dried on tissue…I noticed she was one of the photographers during the “3 song photo scrum”.
Back to front…Russky has made pals with the guys behind us, Emma and Lee, lovely couple. Emma had been at Lovebox and couldn’t believe that she was so close to the stage and it was all so personal, nice couple .
Okay…the music’s good…the “warm-up” songs are pretty cool (heaven knows what they were…I think Sandra has posted about them?)…I know myself and Jonas were grinning at each other like idiots and doing little jigs!
Oh dear..I’m on Deeper Underground now..I usually manage to end my reviews on the final song…I type to perfection- whats going on???!
