Morse.
At the 2:58 point in EOPE, there's a very audible morse code. Can a morse code expert please pick it up and dechipher it? |

I know it's not the SOS code anyway. I'm at work and can't listen at the moment... I would need headphones in order to identify the code... if I can identify it at all that is... I'm definitely no expert on morse code, lol.
Perhaps it's the CQD "Seek you - Distress" code?

This is the very first distress code to be adopted for radio use in 1904 and it's still being used by radio amateurs as a means of initiating contact with others.
It could also be something completely different of course. Or simply no message at all. Just a rhythmic pattern that fits well with the song. I don't know... _________________ Old school forever! |

Yes, it is the CQD distress signal... In fact, if you listen to the guitar and the keyboards at the beginning, you should notice that the whole song was built around a morse code.

The first morse letter in the very beginning of the song is an "E", BTW. |

Yeah, the beginning is Morse indeed... especially the guitar is obvious.
The E... makes me think... perhaps the beginning simply spells E-M-E-R-G-E-N-C-Y? Like I said... I'm no expert so I wouldn't know. The last time I was trying to decipher morse code was like 20 years ago, lol. _________________ Old school forever! |

Sorry for you but I'm not an expert of morse code, however I'm quite curious, so I'm going to try to understand something about this morse code.
I've just listened more carefully to the track but the code is quite imperceptible.. Now I try with the video (if I remember well the code is more clear and without other sounds in the background) _________________ "God bless our high times!" |

Well, I've listened the code by the video and this is what I catched:
...---...
translated is: SOS
Is it possible? I'm quite sure about the morse... the code is that and it's repeated _________________ "God bless our high times!" |

It's still not the same one as the one in the album version... The EOPE video and album version are VERY different. |

Thought everyone knew this about the video version already! I'm not sure what the album version has, though.
