It was very interesting to see the video. Well done Meike! Smile

You entered the plane like a star, TV team following you and then greeting Derrick and Sola in such a friendly and casual way... speaking to Jay etc. Some people must've wondered what kind of big shot celebrity you were. Wink

thanks everyone... 2goodvibes .. I don't know how often I have seen the video meanwhile... probably 50 times or more... Laughing Laughing Laughing ... and it still feels strange to see it. At some parts I remember that I didn't feel comfortable while answering. The questions where asked in a strange way sometimes and I think the best things I said weren't shown. In Athens, after the second gig I was way more relaxed and easy about the cams. I was talking about the changes in the arrangements and that it is so lovely so see that jamiroquai gigs are never boring - always ready for a surprise and so on. AND.. it would have been interesting to see the whole chat with Mr.Kay - in the video it looks like "hello, how are you, let's go in.." Wink

But all in all, I am satisfied with the result - it could have been worse.

One funny thing I have to tell you about the interviews... I think it was in Athens, very late and it was nearly the last interview we did... they were asking me some stuff again, about the concert and then the reporter asked: What does Jamiroquai mean to you, Meike?
I started speaking about the music, then I started to hesitate a bit and lost the thread - he then said: just say something like: Jamiroquai means EVERYTHING to me. The cameras were still recording and I - totally affected - repeated his sentence in the same euphorica like the reporter did it before. "Jamiroquai means EVERYTHING to me!!!" "yeah, great - well done" he said. Cut.

And I was like: Shocked ... damn, what have I just said there?? Those are not my words - yes, Jamiroquai means A LOT to me, but not EVERYTHING... Rolling Eyes ... haha, well - I am glad they didn't take this scene... LOL

The best stuff always ends up on the cutting room floor!
I know from experience that they shoot what seems like hours of footage and then use only a teeny part. They also can edit it so that you come off a bit of a prat. But that didn't happen to you Meike. It was all lovely.
Susaleenah who is living vicariously through all your experiences................. :D

... autographes.. from me??? 3propeller ... LOL... don't be silly! Wink

but Jonas, you described it good...sometimes it really felt strange that the camera was directed on me most of the time (even during the performances and when I was entering the plane) and not on Jay. Laughing ... that day I indeed got an idea how it must be like being a celebrity - they even fimed me eating the buffalo-pudding...

the next jamiroquai gig I would like to be incognito... tongue ... that's more my cup of tea, I think.

Yeah incognito is my middle name...............I'd rather be a fly on the wall. Always been more of an observer........not that I don't enjoy being up front and center at a concert.............

wonderful meike!
your very lucky and we couldn't have had a better ambassador for the jamily.

The video is really good and portrays your day well to be honest. It must have been really hectic for you and i agree with the other comments - i would much rather be anonymous and do my own recording and clips etc.
It did look a bit rushed when you met Jay whilst boarding but i suppose that was shortened. It is a weird feeling meeting Jay as you think you have known him for a long time but then again you have no idea of his life , only what you read and that cant be trusted. So maybe you act over-familiar when approaching him and he thinks - eh up? weirdo! Laughing
I must say though you seemed very relaxed with the whole situation and i think i would have been breaking the cameras if i was in your shoes!

are RTL going to broadcast this on german terestrial tv?
