How to download and keep videos online
I just ran across this site today, I haven't had the chance to test it yet. But according to users in the forum where I found the link it's an essential tool if you want to "rip" videos from places like YouTube etc.
http://keepvid.com/
Just enter the exact url to the page with the video in question and hit download! _________________ Old school forever! |

I have tried it many times and works great! the only thing I want to add is that the videos you rip with that are saved as .flv, so you might need a flv player or a video converter! |

Thanks for the link Jonas I knew another site which does the same service and you can choose from different video codecs for the output:
http://www.vixy.net/
The best way to save those videos is to use stuff that doesn't recode the videos like the firefox plugin extension VideoDownloader.
E.g. from youTube it lets you save the original .flv file you see on the page. _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |
