World's biggest bootleger kidnapped
Just got on jamline this news from our friend David Rowe.

Why did I post that in Music Of Jamiroquai??
As David said, we won't be getting so much Music of Jamiroquai any longer, in soundboard quality 
Hm, if I think again, when was the last time we got soundboard quality bootleg??
Legal stuff: That is offcourse great news for Artists, but for me, who downloads Jamiroquai bootleg from time to time to increase my collection and point of jamiroquai view, it's not good news!! |

Londons Blackfriars Crown Court heard the 33-year-old sold his illicit discs at music festivals, shops and online for up to £130 a time with the help of a worldwide network of business contacts.
His life of crime funded a luxury existence of designer clothes, fast cars, smart homes and expensive holidays.
Underpinning his empire was a business acumen second to none and an unrivalled arrogance.
His contempt for the law was all too apparent in his choice of record company labels concocted for his dodgy discs Criminal Records, Wanted Man, Fugitive, Masquerade, Beautiful Losers, Naughty but Nice, Swinging Pig and even Not Guilty.
He remained emotionless as Judge Timothy Pontius told him it was plain his large-scale criminal enterprise had reaped very considerable financial rewards from the manufacture, importation and sale of illicit CDs.
It seems clear beyond any doubt that this enterprise is by far the largest and therefore the most serious of its particular kind to come before the courts.
The gravity of your involvement lies first of all in its overall scale.
Very large numbers of illicit CDs were produced and sold over the years with significant potential loss, not only to recording companies but also to performers and composers who make a considerable part of their living from the percentage paid to them upon the sale of authorised recordings.
Wow, thats big.
I dont know what to say, like you said, it is good for the artists, but for us it is not. Well... it was good while it last...

Haha, I posted the link to article, but it's easy to miss it 
Diego, know this that majority of bootlegs we get is audience recording! As I said, it's been quite a while we got new Jamiroquai soundboard bootleg (Montreux offcourse doesn't count, it's from TV or Radio).
I think there are other bands that are more interesting than Jamiroquai. Although I would really like to know which bootlegs that guy provided.
Haha, can you imagine Jay Kay in court (well, it wouldn't be first time). I really wonder what he'll say. I hope he won't turn to second Metallica  |

Well some parts of the article is not on your link, cause it is from another one I found, but it's okay.
Haha! Jay Kay= Metallica. I don't think Jay really cares about that, in my opinion.

I lost all respect for Metallica when they went after Napster, then released their bomb "St. Anger." It is the most horrible record I've ever heard in my life. Even die-hard Metallica fans at my school hated it.

Well . what i can say? this is bad news for all the bootlegs fans like me 
I tink the last soundboard recording it was from pori jazz but isn't all , and montreux is wonder quality!
I want more bootlegs , when the JamiroHub turn on...oh well must wait

Hello
Well, Pori was recorded from Radio and was broadcasted legally. Same thing with Montreux.
With all my 94 bootlegs I have (haha, I'm booltegs fan too ), there are only few of (if any) that we could say were provided by guys like him.
Majority of them is audience recording, few of them are from Radio or ripped from VCD (which were broadcasted o legally on TV), Some of them (like In Concert) are recorded legally.
For VCDs (that are much better for me than audio concerts), majority of them are from TV shows. Anyone could record them and pass them on.
So, I don't think we'll suffer much because of arresting this guy. |

how much money the kidnappers are asking for? :D
by bootlegs I could listen to the biggest shows of jamiroquai (much more better than live in verona) and certify that "our band" is one of the best live performers! |
