I like the Scagletti a lot! It looks like a Ferrari "pocket-rocket" of sorts....a little small, but lots of zip. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. hey FunkEducation,
that exact same lancer came out here in australia at the end of '03. it ain't a new '05 model: it has the same old powerless engine (2.0 litre putting out only 89kW. weak) and the dynamics are really really bouncy. being in venazuela (i didnt spell that right ) you'd get the same setup as australia.
my cousin (18 ) was given one of these for his birthday (!!! ) and he hates the ride on it. it is too soft and coz it nosedives onto the bitumen when it goes over speedhumps at 10km/h, it aint a good car.
sorry to get your hopes down dude, but the EVO VIII is excellent.
ps: here in australia they came out with a "VR-X" variant of the lancer, with All Wheel Drive and a 3.5 litre V6, putting out 180kW. it flies and has excellent dynamics. |

nothing like the old Lancer ! The past versions are much better then this new ones!
After the realease of the Evolution VII(7) , and that stupid "disaster" of using Evo 7 during the last 10% of the races in WRC about 3 years ago i guess, and trow away the title of world rally champions! pfuuuu
The best Evolutions of the lancer are from the 3 to 4 , the 5 is a new design in the car, and the super evolution in the motor from the 5 to the 6! 300cv 280km/h
Allways the long rival of Sti! Mitsu is the Best

OK....now I'm going to be a "typical" American for once....
Although Ferarri is my choice of car manufacturer. It's something I'll never be able to afford unless I win the lottery or become famous. Since neither is in the immediate future I will say nothing beats the classic 1968 z-28 camaro. A true muscle car and masterpiece.
My other baby
Any questions?...Class dimissed... _________________ I used to worry about the future

Yeap PietroChocko and EvoV....
the pictures are of the new Lancer version in Venezuela... but to be sincere... i like the 1999 model... and the model that EvoV shown before is a very old model... is like 1993 or something... but the powerful version is the Rally Car...
This is the 2002 model... a model i really love!!
This is the 1999 model... i do whatever for have one:
and this is the daddy of the Lancers:
I agree with EvoV in one thing: The older versions are the best ones... this Lancer is the best:
The Lancer Evolution VI Extreme... ufff wow it's a powerful car... This is the (almost) ultimate Evo 6. One of, if not quite the wildest sedan in the world. The stock Evo is extreme-ified by Ralliart UK with the use of their Sports Engine Control Unit that provides higher turbo boost and titanium and aluminum turbo components. Monster 18in wheels on 235/40ZR18 tires, a lowered suspension (by 28mm in the front and 14mm in the back) that includes new bushings and top mounts, a high-ratio steering rack (2.1 turns lock-to-lock), Recaro front seats and a wealth of interior carbon fibre come standard. A carbon wing, helix single-plate paddle clutch and 320mm racing front disc brakes can also be ordered. A Sports Limited Slip Differential is fitted, but ABS and Active Yaw Control are not, so the only thing I can say is watch out! Also standard is a bizzare white with red decals livery, but it can be traded in for more sane silver paint as seen above.
Anywas, enough with trivial details. The output figures don't do the car justice, and even the unbelievable 4.0-second 0-60mph time is only the begging to the eXtreme. No matter how fast you drive it on a road, no matter how twisty, or wet, or rutted, you will still be far short of what it can do, well within its bounds. Road regulations, your own ability, and the fact that you’re driving it on a road at all, are against you. As for the driving experience, the steering is tight, the brakes effective, the chassis balanced and the suspension uncompromisingly harsh. Just like any good rally car. The 5-speed gearbox is geared long and the engine keeps pulling until 7000rpm, with a top speed in the vicinity of 160mph. The eXtreme is truly a car for real enthusiasts, too bad only 50 were built. _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

look as much as i LOVE mitsubishi lancers, i HATE the engines!!!!!!!!!!!!
the engines have their roots tied to the colt/nimbus (circa 1980) and the evo's engine is the exact same, turbo, pistons, intake, everything.
the only difference is the dynamics and, obviously, the shape of the car.
mitsu really havta learn that only great and innovative products will win them the major european market, which is what they want.
heres a pic of the colt, the one i'm gettin at. this one was only sold in australia, but has an almost identical engine to the current lancers (the colts had carburetted engines, new lancers have EFI)

anyway, back to exotic cars. has anyone seen the new Ferrari F430????
drooooooooooooooooooooool. (picture is a model, which is all i can afford now!). oh and it goes fast too.

But the motor that you are talking about , is for the "comercial" version of the lancers, i remmeber when was a 2.0 gti in the Evo4(talking about the design and not the motor in the car) in portugal!
Was on of the bests in Lancer (comercial version)But always was the Lancer Evolution, and the motors for there are much more strong then the normal version of 1.3 1.5 or 1.8 cc , is a 2.0 GSI Turbo Cooler with 280cv!
There are other top cars in mitsubishi , try to play some games like the GT i will learn alot about cars , heheeh _________________ hooked up |

Neither am I KMackdaddy Mondys are the best for what they are . The Ghia X 2.5 are fantastic and always the first off the lights, even faster than some 3.0s. The features inside are fantastic. _________________ By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II - Now legally Licenced to navigate the Public Highways again.

Well... i love too much the Lancer... but this is the car I own...
My Late Ford Bronco 1996!!!
it was discontinued in 1996 by Ford... why?? i don't know but that truck is great with their V8 engine!!! a 302.

Ford's first imprint in the annals of SUV history began with the birth of the Bronco in 1965. This immediate best-seller set the stage for all SUVs that followed. Thirteen years later, a redesigned Bronco more than quadrupled the previous-years sales numbers. This second-generation version featured a longer wheelbase, over 80 sq ft of storage capacity, unparalleled visibility, and rugged 4WD performance. It hit the big-utility market dead center. During its 18-year run the options list was seemingly endless, especially compared to modern offerings. To cover them here would be impossible. However, since the basic platform is remarkably similar from 1980 onward, common characteristics can be addressed.
The essence of the big Bronco was two-doors coupled with 4WD. The base engine/trans configuration in 1980 was the torquey 300-cid six-cylinder available only with a manual transmission. A 5.0L or 5.7L V-8 was optional. In 1993 the 5.0L became the base offering. Fuel injection was introduced in 1985 for the 5.0L and progressed throughout the lineup (the 4.9L in '87 and the 5.8L in 1988).
The vast majority of Broncos left the factory with an automatic transmission, although a manual was standard issue. Four-wheel-drive selection was made via shift lever on the floor. In 1980, Ford went to an independent front suspension for its full-size 4WD-truck line, the first American company to do so. The new Twin Traction Beam setup reduced unsprung weight by over 50 lb and changed handling and driving dynamics. Still the big Bronco could pull a clean u-turn on many suburban streets. With power-assisted steering it had a tight turn radius of less than 37 ft. Many modern smaller SUVs can't claim that.
The rest is a matter of packaging. The Custom was the baseline model. There were many XLS, XLT Lariat, Ranger XLT packages offered to satisfy nearly every need. The Eddie Bauer Edition, first offered in '85, sought to attract the upscale outdoorsy types and included a well-appointed "privacy" interior, unique exterior color scheme and badging, larger tires, and air-conditioning. The rear-compartment cover was removable, given enough time and patience, making it possible to create an open-cab feeling for true outdoor enthusiasts.
WHAT'S HOT / NOT
HOT:
- Super tight turning radius
- Good towing capacity (up to 7800 lb)
- Very capable off-road
NOT:
- Poor gas mileage
- Road and interior noise
- Trucklike ride
While the white Bronco may be the most infamous, there was no lack of styling packages offered. Several appearance packages coordinated exterior and interior schemes in a variety of contrasting colors. The Silver Anniversary Edition in 1991 offered leather seats for the first time, as well as the exclusive use of the Currant Red exterior treatment. An all-black option called the "Nite" package was offered for only a single year in '92 making it an unusual pre-owned find.
While the following for full-size Broncos is strong, the picture isn't all rosy. Gas mileage is in the 13-mpg range under normal driving conditions--meaning each fill-up, up to 32 gal, could exceed $50. With five-person seating and only two doors, check for wear and tear on the front-seat latching mechanisms and slides. The Bronco has one of the highest step-in heights for stock SUVs making accessibility more difficult for smaller persons. This explains the side steps so commonly attached to these vehicles. Other general high-usage mechanical problems are worn front brake rotors, power window motors, and door locks. Most electrical problems reported by owners on discussion forums include faulty gas-gauge readings and a persistent ABS warning light.
Although 1996 marked the last year for the big Bronco, cries for its return are still heard today. Whether that will happen is not for mere mortals to know, but it doesn't change the fact that the full-size Bronco was not only a sales success but a truly utilitarian SUV.
