Well, the other nite ( i wasn't able to sleep ) i watched on TV a wrestle show after, more or less, 10 years!
And with a big surprise, i liked it very veryyyy mucccchhhhhhhhhh!
My attention was captured by Rey Mysterio: he's one of the most exciting and acrobatic Superstar in WWE history:he's one of the greatest high fliers in all the shows:

Exactly. It's so obviously fake... but sometimes it is humourous because of that. Like when they start clobbering each other with chairs, etc |

It's scripted American goodness!!!!! Last night, was ECW's One Night Stand wrestling special. 2 and a half hours of extremem wrestling goodness. Back in the mid-late 90s: professional wrestling was dominated by WCW and WWF (now WWE). The third most popular wrestling organization was ECW (Extreme Chamionship Wrestling). Unforunately WCW and WWE gave all of the ECW star wrestlers to leave by offering a lot more money. ECW eventually went out of business.
But ECW was different than WWE and WCW. ECW did much more extreme stuff. More high flying, more barb wire, more wrestlers goin through tables, just way more insane!!!! Fra, your guy Rey Mysterio used to be a very big star in ECW before he joined WCW and now WWE.
Well a lot of those former ECW stars are still in WWE and some other wrestling organizations (WCW was bought out by WWE, so it doesn't exist anymore). Last night WWE organized a pay per view wrestling special, where all the old ECW wrestlers got together and wrestled and did all the insane, crazy, extreme stuff that made ECW the most fun to watch.
Rey Mysterio, Taz, the Dudleys, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Sabu (maybe the most insane mofo ever), Mick Foley (Cactus Jack, Mankind, Dude Love), Super Crazy, Tajiri, Chris Benoit, Mike Awesome, Masato Tanaka, Eddie Guerrero, R.V.D., etc were all there, including the guy the two guys that made ECW what it was: Creator Paul Heyman, and the best announcer in the biz: Joey Styles (OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH MMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!)
WWE wrestlers came to event to try to break it up, and ruin the event, and at the end they had a big brawl. It was very good, very fun. I know it's fake, but to me it's still fun. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

I used to watch WWF on the French telly when I was a kid. The most hilarious were the names the French speakers gave to the different moves. Like "coup du bélier" or "coup du lapin".
Watching catch (as this kind of wrestling is called here) on the German telly is less funny. The German speakers don't invent or translate the names of the moves.
Now a little word to Takeshi's castle: Did you know that Takeshi (aka Takeshi Kitano or Beat Takeshi) is one of the most popular Japanese film directors? He even plays the main part in his films. I saw 3 of his films, "Hana-Bi" aka "Fireworks" (my favourite film of Takeshi Kitano), "Brother" and "Kikujiro".
Well, I already knew him as director and actor, so I was kinda surprised when I saw him the first time as the count in Takeshi's castle on the telly.
Here some pictures of him in his films:
For more information about Takeshi Kitano you can consult his page on IMDb ------>http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001429/
or this francophone site ----->http://www.takeshikitano.net/.
