POLL: Favorite New Jamiroquai Song!!!
buffaloman_B Hello everyone, :bm_b:

I thought I would start my first ever Jamiroquai poll on JamiroTalk.net (Yeah, you would think since I've been here since flares came back in style I would have done one!). So here's the poll question: Which new Jamiroquai song is your favorite? Please vote for you fav above, if I fowl up this poll, please forgive me, I'm new is sort of think Wink! Anyhoo, please vote for you fav, and if you have time, leaves you thoughts why. Take care all & MAN IS IT HOT HERE in the states! Rain, heat, rain, heat, heavy rain, heat...talk about a tiring weather cycle!! Ugh!!!

Fighting back the heat & sweat with a Coke-A-Cola,
JamiroFan2000

First reply? Wow. I like Cannabliss because it sounds like a return to the old sound, and somewhat reminiscent of one of my favorites, High Times. It's got that rockin guitar, which in excess is not my favorite part of Jamiroquai, but here it's just about right. The chill section in the middle is my favorite part, and I hope it doesn't get skimmed over in the studio.

Funk Odyssey, at least the old version, sounded way too much like Deeper Underground for my liking, and Shoot The Moon may end up becoming a favorite, but the way it's sounding right now, I think it's a little underdeveloped, especially the middle section. I'm am pleased with the sound and the feel, but I hope the music on the next album (or at least one song) will blow away fans and skeptics alike, just as I was blown away the first time I heard Virtual Insanity. Not to say Cannabliss has blown me away either, but I think it's a song I wouldn't mind playing for my friends, at least.

Cheers!

I'm afraid I don't know where to get them now that they're no longer on funkin.com, but I was wondering, is there any news about getting Shoot The Moon on mp3? I can't stand Real format. I can't put in on a CD, and the quality is really poor.

Now that I'm listening to Shoot The Moon again (it's been a couple of weeks since I heard it last), I think it's pretty groovy. I think the first part is really catchy, particularly the little guitar licks, but I still think the middle section is a bit....I don't know. It's chill, and I love chill Jamiroquai, but maybe I just hope it won't go on so long on the album. I don't want my company to get bored.

Great poll, Jamirofan!

I have a .rm coverter, so I have shoot the moon and all those other .rm's from funkin in mp3 format..

And yes, I too don't like that middle part. To me it sounds a little "britney spears-ish".. They try to go back to the funky part, but it's just not the same... Confused

Where can I get one of these .rm converters? Can I download it, for free? If there's a charge to it, I'm not concerned enough to get STM as an mp3.

On a bit of a side note, I'm very happy to be a moderator here at Jamirotalk, and I'm looking forward to working at this, the greatest site around, and especially in the Music section.

Cheers!

Found a link Freddie ;-)
buffaloman_B Hello again, :bm_b:

I think I can help you out Freddie HG Wink! I logged onto to Jamline on Yahoo Groups and there was a post of someone like you trying to find a MP3 of "Shoot the Moon", then some guy helped him out by putting up a link to a sort-of crisp 192 Kbps MP3 of STM. Here's a link to the MP3, hope it helps you out Wink:

LINK TO STM MP3: http://www.aoug73.dsl.pipex.com/shoot_the_moon.mp3

Enjoy the MP3, thanks for listening and take care Freddie HG!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Thanks for the tip, Jamirofan. I'm listening to it now, and I must say it's nice to have it on mp3. The quality sounds a little better, and I can burn it!

Cheers!

Ah...welcome to me. Onto the subject.

My favourite is surely Shoot the Moon. It's like a mix of Synkronized and Space Cowboy into one 7 minutes. Splendid. Cannabliss is pretty cool too, but much too guitar-heavy in my opinion...and I haven't heard Funk Odyssey yet; is it available on Kazaa?

I voted for Shoot The Moon. But I think they should make better versions of Cannabliss and Funk Odyssey, if they wanted to have them ont he next record.
