Two Completely Different Things = Classic Jamiroquai!
Listened to the full albums samples. This is the only track that highly resembles what we would have heard from the boys back in 94'. Very nice track from the sound of the 30 sec. sample. Did anybody else feel this way? I noticed it immediately. |

I have a feeling that this is gonna be one of my favorite songs from the new album It's a breezy,Old School flavored track that reminds me of 70s era Stevie Wonder. |

Dyego it feels like Where do We Go From Here with a latin vibe of Stillness In Time.
TRUE CLASSIC
Why? Nice melody, apparently no backing vocals only jay's voice, flute is back, nice horns, and proeminent percussion. _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

Funny since Jay Kay has used backing vocals in several songs of EOPE and The return of the space cowboy |

It's not quite the old vibe, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. I think it's got a really strong Earth, Wind & Fire influence. |

This is a very strong track judging from what we've heard so far. Imho the obvious choice for a first single if I had anything to say about it. I mean, how can anyone not like it?
It reminds me a little bit of SDISJ, but refined to perfection. Great vocal melodies and horns, beautiful and catchy. It's almost like it was written between EOPE and TROTSC, as it has a touch of both. Sort of the perfect fusion of IILIIDI/SIT/SDISJ... old school with a modern twist.
It swept me off my feet immediately. _________________ Old school forever! |

But he used to deploy them wisely.
This song is in the front of the line to become an instant classic!!! _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

I don´t think this track has got anything to do with the past. Just hear the beginning. Smells like something derivative from Seven days in sunny june.
All this hype is because when it enters the chorus we hear some horns and that "meow" synth that Toby used very much. (Just another story for example).
The chorus reminds TWM, (maybe bits "high times") or synkronized (maybe bits of "where do we go from here)" but definitely nothing to do with the roots.
Evaluating by all this hype just because some classic JMQ elements on a simple chorus, I guess that if this album was based in toby´s choice of analog synths and keyboards a lot of people here would have a heart attack. |
