should i edit the posts in order to erase all the evidence of the spraypaint-idea? after all, i don't want us to end up with a huge fee only because we made sure the next album gets all the public attention that it deserves

Hahaha. OK. I will do it, and I'll take photos too, if I can. But we should do it in public places, to get a lot of attention (maybe the press wonders what is it and they do some special news...). And we do our own promotion of the band as anticipation to the close album...am I going too far??
PS: What if somebody thinks is like a terrorist act warning or something?
and for the ones who are about to do it, make sure that nobody will be able to figure out that YOU did it

Sorry...
Hello, :bm_b:
I think the idea of independant fan promotions of the upcoming Jam album is cool, but I wasn't serious about the spraypaint idea . I meant the spraypaint that washes away with water, the origin of that idea came funny one day outside my local record store. A record rep asked a record store employee if it was ok to spraypaint a logo of a band that he was promoting on the ground in front of the store. I inquired the guy if the paint was permanent, and he told it was the kind that washes away in the rain, then my brains started revolving around the idea of making Buffalo Man cardboard molds and do my own logos. If you do it Diego, make sure you have permission from the owner of the wall or surface you plan to put your promotion, nothing illegal..OK? I think it would be exciting to help Jamiroquai this way, Sony has been rather lazy on early promotions of the upcoming Jam Album, and given Jamiroquai previous sales records, you would think they would be on the top of their promotions list. I can't wait to see your efforts Diego, maybe I might do it myself, I'm currently working on a couple Jamiroquai sketches for a flyer, I could circulate it at my local record store . Well, good luck Diego and can't wait to see the pictures ! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Yes, don´t worry, I´ll do it without legal problems. But I`m afraid you have to wait for the pics for several reasons: first of all, I started university 5 days ago so I am pretty busy; the mold still I do not have it made and my camera has to be fixed . But I will do it as soon as I can. |

New album news
Hello Jamirotalkers.
Here I am again with some news of the 6th album. Thanks to Cosmic Betta from the Jamirosite (www.jamirosite.com), found an article that says:
´Jamiroquai is sure that its next album will be the best one of its career. In an interview published today from the Daily Record, Jay Kay has revealed to cross a period of deep creative inspiration. In particular, the singer has attributed the found again artistic overhong to the location that he accommodates the recording session, the Highlands, that region situated in the north of the Scozia, famous for the wide spaces and the evocative panorama. "To go me of via London and to write the new songs in Scozia it has made a great good my music", has explained Jamiroquai, "has given me a air puff, I had therefore much need to detach the thorn." The new album - sixth of the discography of the band of Jay Kay - is the continuation of "A Funk Odyssey" of 2001. If all it goes well, the recording session they will finish to July and the release will see the light in september.'

Yeah, September is a great date!!!
Hello again, :bm_b:
Yeah, September would be a great time for a new Jam album! Yeah, the wait will unexpectly be longer, but still we could be only 3-4 months away from a first single release from the 6th album ! That's what I'm really looking forward too, usually the first single sums up what the new album will be all about. I'm hoping for "Cannabliss" as the first single or a surprisingly new song as the single and Cannabliss as a B-side, at least that's my hopes. Thanks for listening and let's things run smoothly for JK and the band and they can release the album on time !
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Hello, Jamirotalkers.
Jay has finished to compose all the tunes that will appear in the new album!!!! Kay wrote the songs in his cottage near Redpoint, in scotish region of Wester Ross. ''Go away from London and write the new album in Scotland had a great effect on the music'', as he said.
Thanks to www.jamirosite.com and www.rockol.it. |

Hi everybody!
From my point of view, we´ll be listening for the first single on late juli-agoust. Cannabliss should be one of the "principal songs", but I hope that they´ve improve the version we heard about 2 years ago (I hate it, it´s one of the worse jamiroquai-songs I´ve ever heard! ).
So yeah! It´s gonna be a full news summer, with loads of interesting things...
About JK saying that this is the best album of his life... He said just the same before each new-album realease. |
