You are absolutely right beena!

Haha, I don't think it would make a good first single, although as I said the entire song may be better, but don't you think that a good great marvelous video could increise the success of the song??

Yep, it's true, the first 22 seconds are ok. But like Jay said, the track wasn't finished, so a little arrangement in the 'rocky' part could be delivering us a very good song!! Let's just wait.

Yea, you got a point Diego. The 'rocky' part doesn't sound so great after those 22 kick ass seconds, but knowing them, the part right after that is probably SOOOO awesome that it makes up for the 'rocky' part. I can't wait to hear the whole song!

Me too!!! But the best song of the last moment for me is Shoot the Moon, it's very jazzy... but i think trumpets will make it more jazzy than it's.

6hi all
so after a long break i'm here around again Very Happy
and must say directly Rolling Eyes i'dont like this track sure its only 30 seconds but it sounds like a track from AFO which was not a genius one i think. It doesn't sound like they are back to the roots. So I hope Bdc do not come on the new album. 5crossfingers

i just listened to the clip for the first time. It's not bad, it's pretty funky. But i think the first half sounds almost a bit like an electronic kind of ben folds five. Shocked (BFF remind me of someone I don't like to think about, so that's not very good.) I don't mind it being a bit rocky, but yeah... you can't really judge on this clip - i like it but i think they can do better for a first single. Cool

Like what many others have said: Not fair to judge the song just by hearing a fraction of it. But based on first impression, i feel it doesn't reflect the 'back to brass' direction i heard they were veering towards for the next album. it sounds very synkronized-ish. Would prefer something with a bit more of a raw feel to kickstart the new jami hype. But heck, I'll eat up whatever song they throw out as a first single!

i think it's a little hasty to make a judgement based on the low quality, brief clip of the song that is available - and Jay did say (a while ago now) that the song was definitely NOT finished, meaning that they could have drastically altered the song by now...

as for the overall style - i know we would all love to hear a return to the 'old' ROTSC-era sound, but cmon we gotta be reasonable and understand that bands can't just reverse 10 years of progression and evolution to please a section of their fan community....even if they wanted to i doubt it would be in a natural, honest fashion, given that (virtually) the entire lineup has changed since then...so although it might sound a little poppy and commercial, well, thats just Jamiroquai in 2004 - take it or leave it!

(sorry if i sound like i'm trying to rain on everybody's parade here, i honestly am not - i just don't want to see people dissapointed when the new album comes out!)
