Let's see. In my home, when I was young, my father would often have tejano or country music on the radio while he'd cook breakfast for us. I liked the tejano, but I hated the country. As time went by, we moved away from tejano's geographical home, the Southwest United States, so we're now being raised on many different things. My sister's raised on hip-hop and rock, while I throw in funk and house to those two for myself.

My musical roots....
buffaloman_R Hello, :bm_r:

Very Happy Another great topic idea Diego Very Happy! Well, for yours truly, my musical roots started surprisingly with alot of R&B and Hip Hop, much like my fellow American Fan Jaminneapolis Wink! I listened to alot of...

Thriller era Michael Jackson

The POWER Producing team of Ollie & Jerry!!

And loads of Public Enemy!!

Then of course I went into the "Classic Rock" phase: The British side with alot of Led Zeppelin, The Who, Queen, The Rolling Stones & Yes/The American side of it with Aerosmith, Van Halen and pretty every "Hair band" that existed from Dio/Dokken all the way up to "Extreme". Then after I turned 21, the whole inside "Kids in the Hall" joke of "you will love jazz when you turn into a adult" almost came true for me, but I stuck mostly to New music from the UK and of course the influences on Jamiroquai like Roy Ayers, the Headhunters, Leon Ware, Chaka Khan and Rufus and many others. There you go, I hope that sheds some light on what music I listened to when I was growing up the "mixed bag of music" that was my life. Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
