...or click on the "Galleries"-Bubbles on the top.

The quality of the photographs isn't really good. Crying or Very sad But at least you can see some of our soap bubbles. Very Happy

Not at all!
No CosmicMouse,

I find the quality quite good. There is such a good feeling which comes out off the pictures of Ealing.

Thank you very much for the reports.....but i don´t really envy you... because festivals are very strenuous, aren´t they?!!! But poor cosmicbear!! Comfort the Poor Boy Everything allright with you now??? i just saw some tracks on ARD in ´Rockpalast´. and i behold some bubbles fire jump
Great you came into the vip-area! But with your great idea "bubbles" and with that wonderful website, it´s the place where you belong to Exclamation
but i don´t agree with cosmicbear about the background singers!! Perhaps there is a different sound on tv, but ´main vain´and another song (from LF, saw it yesterday at mtv, but my bullshit videorecorder didn´t work so i don´t know anymore the name of the track), sounded horror horror !!
strange!!!

Did you miss Toby Smith (ups a rhyme)?
One Question to those who "heard" and saw Jamiroquai at those Festivals? is there a change in the music without Toby? the blues
i never saw them live, so i´m interested if they sound different now? Confused

 i´m looking forward to your answer Exclamation Exclamation

no, there is not a change in the sound of the live-performances since matt took the place of toby!!!!
the main change is actually the visible change. it is just ood to see somebody on toby's place.
but matt is doing a fantastic job!!! no question about it!

anyway, think about this: lots of the old hits were written and performed on the albums by stuart, but now nick plays them. and even tho, there are a couple of people, who complain about his skills, mostly everybody thinks nick is doing a great job. i do for sure!!!
so why should it be different with matt now?

we will find out, if there is a stil in the music when they start to produce a new album. but as for live performances - they still have the funk!!!!

cosmic greetings

Changes.. where you do not expect them
Hello Mrs Moon, Very Happy

during the Jamiroquai concert at Rock im Park, I paid attention to the keyboard.
I guess that I do not have a ♪ musical ♪ ear, because I could have never told who was playing then Laughing ! I just appreciated it. It fitted in the usual jamiroquai sound.

Now, something stroke me harder. I found JK's voice not as nice as usual Sad . On the video recording of Rock am Ring, I honestly find that JK sings like have a light sore-throat.

So let's hope Rolling Eyes this was the influence of the bad weather in West Germany at that time....

@mrsmoon: I also don't think that there was a difference. Matt was doing a great job! good ....Ok, sometimes I missed the sound of the brass which can be replaced by keyboard sounds, but I am not sure if Toby has always done this during live concerts...
In addition it's possible that they intentionally left the brass sound, just to put the main emphasis on the guitar and the bass, which fits better to a ROCK festival.

But that's not the point to decide if Matt is a good replacement for Toby.
I think it isn't so hard to practise Toby's keyboard sounds and melodies for a musician. It's a lot work to study all the songs in a short time, but it is not impossible. I know a lot of pianists who could play like Toby and Matt.

In my opinion, Toby was unique because of his talents of composing. He has had so great and creative ideas of sounds, harmonies and melodies which made the songs complete and perfect.

The time (and the new album) will show, what influences Matt will bring to the music of Jamiroquai.

@sunrayvibe: There was a link on funkin.net to an interview with Jay after Rock im Park, and he told that he has got a cold after Rock am Ring because of the wet weather. So I think that was the reason for his "bad" voice.

Yes, i´m sure he had a cough... i even recognize it on tv. he was coughing some time...Poor J Comfort the Poor Boy
but i thought he had been smoking too much Mr. Green . smoke'n'jump ......
cosmicMouse you told that the new keyboarder Matt did a good job, i agree, but i ask myself : how he was able to learn a lot of "stuff" in such a short time??? the leaving of Toby, i´m sure was planned some time before.... it wasn´t all of a sudden, don´t you think so too??
