Hello Jamirotalkers!
Well, what can I say? I'm surprised! I want to believe this was Jay. I don't care if he said 'hey, write something for the fans on the site sending merry Christmas' of if he wrote it by himself.
And summer sounds? He has been working hard this year, THAT is true!
If this was Jay... thanks!

JK said absolutely nothing. Nothing at all.
Brent don't be sorry, you and every other fan has the right to be ticked off at this point. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. JK probably didn't even come up with that message. He probably just said to his managers/Sony reps/whatever else they may be: Just write those f'n geeks a message so that they'll have somethin to talk about.

Cheers Cosmic Girl,
Ofcourse it would be nice to think that he actually sat down and wrote that message... but being realistic, chances are that he didn't. You've got to look at it realistically and not delude yourself. _________________ By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II - Now legally Licenced to navigate the Public Highways again.

The Pressure of "Merry Christmas"! (Comic Parody)
JK sits in the Chillington Studio, pushing and sliding different shaped knobs on the expansive soundboard in front of him, mixing the studio version of "Black Devil Car" for the new album. JK nibbles on some Raisin Biscotti as the Official Webmaster walks into the studio. JK turns and gives a quick handshake, greets, "Hi mate, how are you? The family good? How is the Official Site?" Webmaster looks at JK with a concerned look and replies, "Cor, JK, the fans are really pissed off, especially this JamiroFan character, he keeps posting these 'manifesto' posts complaining about everything! Like, the lack of the updates on the site, the lack of communication between the band and the fans and other loads of bollocks. It has become frankly very annoying!" JK shares the same look of concern and says while giving a snide look at him, "Well, I can understand their feelings, I mean, it's not my fault the site hasn't been updated! If I knew more or had more done with the new album, then you would be the first to know! So, what do you suggest we can do to alleviate this situation till then?" The Webmaster thinks for a second and suggests, "Christmas is coming, how about you give me a Christmas greeting and I'll post it on 'J-Talk' on the Official Site!" JK nods and replies, "That's a good idea! May not completely defuse the wrong in their minds that we have caused, but it will be a nice touch. What should I say?" The Webmaster, now nibbling on some Raisin Biscotti, pulls out a notepad and reads from it, "Well, I jotted some ideas, I narrowed it down and here's what I have: 'It's been none stop work this year on the next studio album, I am really pleased and proud of it, it's full of summer sounds, and I really hope you like it. The release date is still to be confirmed but will be posted on the site as will all the tour dates for 2005. Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and a fantastic 2005. - Jay Kay" JK rubs his chin and smiles and replies in reaction, "Oi! That is great, go with that, I agree to it. If you will excuse, I got to get back to mixing, nice seeing you mate, Denise will show you out..Bye!" Denise walks up to a surprised Webmaster and greets, "Oh hello, you didn't see me before, Jay & me are back together...I'll escort off the property." The Webmaster follows a certain distance behind and thinks, "Cor, J said the mixing garbage 3-4 months ago...and DENISE...man, and I thought I didn't want a 'stocking stuffer'!"
HEHE ! Looks like I got my comedy legs back now! I hope you guys enjoyed that special "Christmas jape". Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Serge says well, too well!
It's impossible, really, that Sir Jay had put his ass on a chair and written a so sweet and kind Xmas message to us!!!
It'd be cool believe it but it's not realistic.....i'm still waiting for a msg here on Jamirotalk...but it 'll never be

After those Jay's greetings, I just wanted to tell you (Jay, you Jamirotalkers, brothas, turtles, everybody, whatever...) what's my Jamiroquai wish for this year.... I just listen to the Black Devil Car sample for what I think is the thousandth time, and I really really really wish this track to be the grooviest one of the band history....
If this comes true..... Champagne everybody!!!!!!!! |

Brent, I totally agree with your first post and as Serge I don't believe that Jay wrote this message himself.
Like Serge I'm rather frustrated about Jays behaviour towards his fans.
I'm still looking forward to the new album - but I'm not that enthusiastic any more
That's it from me....

Kind of gives you the feeling JK would be happy to reap all the benefits of being famous if he didn't have to deal with fans and paparazzi _________________ I used to worry about the future
