Water evocative
Stirs emotions
So many feelings
Turmoil
Confusion
Muddle
Sound of your thoughts
Your mind thrashing & turning
Like a thundering torrent of water
Along a ravine of rocks
Crashing & thundering
Reaching below the silent pool
An aqua marine mirrored surface
Flat and quiet
Peaceful
No need or reason
For that inner struggle
No desire to find fault
Your mind lays down to rest… |

This was written by my wife:
Naked Devotion
Alone with the Night naked of thought and it’s repression
I am empty of emotion and waiting for my obsession
The Wind calling me softly enticing the will of my heart
Let the Breeze take you and together we will part
With eyes closed and my mind opened wide
I drift into motion reaching the clouds with stride
Still comfortably naked of all that can bind
Cloaked by the Darkness letting my dreams unwind
Dancing in the air with no music in sight
I sway to the stillness being sung by the Night
My arms are out stretched to hold all that will be
A hope bare to the Reality of what it chooses to see
The hands of Evening gently plays with my hair
Silently teasing that we will forever be a pair
Never will I cover what the Night dares to see
Naked to the devotion the Darkness has for me _________________ I used to worry about the future
But then I threw my caution to the wind.....
Peace,

Tall & majestic
The tree stands proud
The aura of power
Resplendent in her might
And in her power
The strength to withstand
The present & past
The current & future
All nature throws at her
The elements taunt her
Mock her resilience
But to no avail
Haughtily she repels all
Yet despite her appearance
Her dominance
A plethora of nature
Birds & animals
Flock and run to her
They find a home
Comfort & protection
Amongst her mighty boughs
Like a mother
Protecting her young
Provides reassurance
Only those knowing her
Recognize her abilities
See past the outward stature
Her strength & resilience
Yet so loving & tender
The one strengthening the other
To create a living legend
Truly deserving of honour & awe |

If I died
Who would notice?
Who would miss?
Friends would mourn
Family would cry
But lives would go on
Where have I made a mark?
Where do I make a difference?
Where would there be a void?
In peoples lives
In peoples hearts
Till people move on
How would I be remembered?
What memories would I leave?
Encounters with me etched in peoples memories
Wiped away like a film of dust
Things have passed on
The cycle of life
So fickle
So fragile
So short
Ends
Abruptly |

I know it's depressing "If I died who would notice" says everything but there's also beauty in sad lines. _________________ We're going to a funktion yeah yeah yeah |

Rainbow
By K.Mackendry
Darling what is it you long
Where did the right turn go wrong
You say you're happy
But your face tells otherwise
I'm not getting sappy
But you're my angel in disguise
Chorus
You capture all the colors of the rainbow
Holding every shade and every hue
So why is it you look so blue?
Darling what happened to the light
The one shown in your eyes like twilight
You say there's nothing wrong
But your body tells otherwise
You've got to be strong
Too many times I've heard your silent cries
Chorus
You capture all the colors of the rainbow
Holding every shade and every hue
So why is it you look so blue?
Bridge
Where's the smile that brought the world to its knees
Where's the woman I fell in love with from ages past
I'm begging with all of my pleas
Tell me our love is going to last
Because......
Chorus
You capture all the colors of the rainbow
Holding every shade and every hue
So why is it you look so blue? _________________ I used to worry about the future

Glenfinnan
Glenfinnan
By K.Mackendry
The rolling heather from the shores of Loch Shiel to the mountain waysides
Oh how they call thy soul’s emotional tides
Harrowing days of old to a land I know all too well
For it is in Glenfinnan my heart dwells
Land where my Bonnie Prince Charles held high
The Standard for the Jacobites of 1745
Where Scottish pride will never be damned
The sound of bagpipes brandished throughout the land
Oh how my spirit soars high
Filled with the Scottish pride
Oh how my heart aches within
To be in the land of Glenfinnan
Visions of days long since past
Of simple ales and good haggis
Of a bonny love for an age last
And in present found again in our bliss
For now we are together again
In a love that we cannot pretend
Because the age old land of Glenfinnan
Is both where we will end and where we began _________________ I used to worry about the future
But then I threw my caution to the wind.....
Peace,
