I think that's it. I remember a statement of Jay somewhere recently about the vocodered voice and that it did not work at first when he sang as normal. He had to change to very high voice (falsett?) and then the vocodered sound worked out.
So I think Cheeba is right, FJLIS is not easy to sing live.
