I just got my "Father Ted" DVD-Set. I'm looking forward watching it. |

Oh I love Father Ted!! What about the episode where Ted is trying to explain about the cows: that the one he is holding is small because its a model but the ones in the field are small because they are far away!!
OK unless you know what I mean that won't be funny to anyone else!!! |

My favourite Blackadder moment is when Edmund has his relatives over for dinner to discuss his inheritence. It's the whole turnip episode...
The turnip shaped like a "thingy" & Baldrick informing us of the irony as his "thingy" is shaped like a turnip!!!! |

I watched all the episodes now. Great comedy! The gag with the cow is excellent, I like Father Dougal's face expression whenever he doesn't understand something, and that's most of the time. What do you think about Dougal's tape recorder, and his use of it of course? Or the scene where he has to watch over the corner flag at the football game?
But the two characters I really like in the series are Mrs Doyle, with her maniac tea making and Father Jack. Do you remember him at the optician's with the "Drink" reading board? Or the scene where he went to the pub after he has left the AA's reunion with the other AA guy seeing him and taking him off the whiskey bottle, and immediately after you can see an ambulance driving with sirenes at full speed? Hilarious, don't you think? |

Well, turnips seem to be a running gag in Blackadder. Is the turnip Britain's favourite vegetable? |
